I've got to agree with Crackdown as well.  However, I thought Mercenaries showed a lot of potential.  I'm hoping Merc 3 is amazing.

Crackdown...it's just more fun to play than Saints Row or the GTA series. Hulk: Ultimate Destruction was pretty awesome as well.

I like Saints Row, but I must admit I've only played Crackdown for a few minutes at a friends house. I'm going to rent it this weekend maybe and try it out.

I hate to say Crackdown since it just came out and is still riding a wave of excitement, but I'm REALLY enjoying it.

If "Sandbox game" refers to being able to have a large, open ended world to explore and do a lot of stuff in, then I got to say Oblivion with Saint's Row coming in second.

Damn, you asked on the 360...I was gonna say Vice City...best...game...ever. Mooooooving on...

On the 360...hmmmm....they're all a bit flaky compared to GTA, but Saints Row is definitely better than Crackdown...I GOT IT!! San Andreas (Xbox version), played on a 360 (is that even possible?)!!

OK, seriously, has to be Saints Row, but well...meh.

If Crackdown had the same level of actual content as Saints Row, and super agents, and jumping and grenade launchers, it woulda rocked. Shame. And I had such high hopes...

I'ma go with San Andreas, Mainly because late one night I was playing with some friends and I entered the flying cars cheat and flew around on a tractor. and  one of my friends said "Thats the ghetto Santa right there." (My character was dressed in a lot of red) and for some reason we all wound that to be freaking hilarious. That's one of several memories that sprang form San Andreas.

All the GTA games up to now are playable on the 360 (trying to find confirmation of this), and even though they do not have next gen graphics, they still pwn the sandbox games currently available as genuine 360 titles.

Dead Rising by a mile. Great gameplay with an interesting story. Plus killing survivors is always fun.

Well Im on my 3rd month with xbox 360 now and I have to say I really like saints row. Yes I know its GTA but I find it alot more to liking than GTA. Never really liked GTA but there is just something fun about S.R. Maybe its the achievements? :roll:

Can't decide between the two:

Saints Row - Gritty gangsta game. Some extent of realism.
Crackdown - Super-hero sandbox game. Not done for realism but is really fun because of this.
