The shotgun has to be one of the greatest weapons in action games. But some are so good that you end up using them through out the whole game.

I would like to know what is your favourite?

Both Pump and Auto Shotguns from Left 4 Dead. I dont use any other weapon except.

Doesn't get any better than the TERRIBLE SHOTGUN from Fallout 3 with VATS enabled.....Love the destruction it causes as it sends heads flying.

I'm not sure i can really pick a favorite. In pretty much every game I play the shotgun acts exactly the same way, differences ever being weather it's pump or auto. I guess I'll give props to Unreal Tournament III and Metroid Prime Hunters for making shotguns that don't really look like shotguns, which is sorta creative I guess. And Halo 3 had the mauler which were miniature dual wieldable shotguns, which was sorta neat.

Sawed Off is best, Double Barrel is ok to, but it feels very hick.

In games, the Gears of War 2 shotgun isn't so bad.

Yup.

me too. that gun destroyed many innocent people during my playthoughs.

I love any game that has the SPAS-12 shotty with the buttstock folded up. The gun looks awesome like that. Like in F.E.A.R. for example. But it looked cool in RBS:V none the less. I also love the Trench Gun. Its just big and bulky, and it looks like it was made to get the job done.

And the Bioshock shotgun deserves props because of how uniquely bad it is.

Yup.

It's SAVED a lot of innocent people for me.
