Your Football Game This Summer --- To 08 or to 2K8?

Ill be getting both eventually, but it really depends on what types of gameplay features that are going to be included in each game.

As it looks right now, i will be getting Madden first, becuase it seems to have a lot of interesting gameplay ideas this year, as well as enough buffer time to work out all of the kinks in there new engine, since it has been 3 years now.

Again, i will have to get more info on both, but its looking like madden first for now.

If 2k8 is as good as 2k5 i will be super excited (:

Yeah, I can't believe the praise the gameplay is already getting in previews! I wouldn't really call it "hype" just because these guys all said they were very disappointed wtih 06 and 07 and all have said the same thing that Madden has finally gone "next-gen." It should be a great game. So yeah, I am picking up Madden as well as NCAA. I will rent APF though because I want to try it out and see how it is (even though I disliked NFL 2K1-2K5, the original on Dreamcast was the only game I liked in the series).

Madden and rent 2K8, I am interested in it but i do not think I will like playing with fake teams, I said they should have gone after the CFL so they at least had some really teams.rob101

Madden, APF sounds good but it doesnt have a franchise mode, you can only do one season with your team which is stupid.Sig12047

I forgot about that but it is a great point because I usally play like 4 or 5 madden Seasons so i get a lot of use out of the game, but if you had to change your team everytime it would suck

as long as the gameplay stays with the same formula as their past games ill be satisfied

I dont even need franchise because Online Leagues and Tournaments is where it's at and then you got

Unitas, Elway, Montana, Marino, Cunningham, Barry Sanders, Gayle Sayers, OJ Simpson, Walter Payton, Emmit Smith, Earl Cambell, Ronnie Lott, Dick Butkus, Too Tall Jones, Reggie White, Jerry Rice just to name a few

if you turn on your xbox on sunday during the nfl season then you'll probably get 2k8. if you actually like the nfl and know more players other than peyton manning then you'll probably pick up madden. madden is for nfl fans.while 2k8 has a few dinosaurs running around, madden will be playing with actual current players.

yes i will buy 2k8 b/c it has no real NFL teams and thats what i want....i mean thats awesome(sarcasm)....again madden will sell much better than 2k8 for this reason....and i really dont wanna play a football game without real teams....h575309

madden will always sell more copies and thats a fact, it doesnt matter how crappy the game is *cough* Madden 06 *cough* madden fans will go out and purchase it no matter how bad the game is, not saying 08 will be bad but im just saying sales wise madden will always be better, does not mean the game will be good just means madden has been out longer then everyone
