for those who know what im speaking of. I was watching a review for army of two and well basically i took a chug of a soda and then the bastard spits some hilarious line out (he always does) and i end up choking for a good two minutes or so.

As i went on i watched some more of his reviews and i gotta say i laughed pretty hard at all of em. Hes pretty logical too when it comes to games. How do you guys feel about his reviews?

I watch every Wednesday. He's more of an entertainer than a reviewer, but still makes some good points.

He's funny, but thats about it.

He's idea of a bad game is pretty ridiculous some times and often times he'll contradict himself.

He recently stated that despite having said Grand Auto IV is a good game that it suddenly isnt since he played Saints Row 2.

He complained about Halo 3 being short, yet went with the cop off "Short and Sweet" bit with Portal and Call of Duty 4.

The fact that most of his reviews are based on a single play through of the single player campaign renders most of his reviews worthless as with games like Halo and Call of Duty he's only playing about 20 % of the content.

Like I said, his standards are ridiculous and at times contradictary. All he does is nit pick and then humorously over exagerate.

I think he explained all those instances, he said he only said GTA 4 was good was because he was starved for games during the middle of the year making it seem more appealing, and he said portal was short but didn't overstay it's welcome, meaning despite how good it was it would probably get boring and repetitive if it was extended to that of a regular game. He's not really much of a reviewer that shows people which game is for you and such, he doesn't review enough games to do that, but he uses humour to show a side of the game that other reviewers often neglect, If I remember correctly he is the second most popular reviewer on the Internet, second to Penny Arcade, which doesn't specifically review games so idk if that counts. Also I saw the Game Damage pilot a few weeks ago and thought it was ok, yahtzee's probably the funniest one there, but only because it looks like he really doesn't want to be there, I thought the skits imbetween segments where boring and cliché.

in my view, hes a different sort of reviewer. He doesnt giv out a score or acts unbiased. He simply gives out his view on the good and bad points of the game (mostly bad :P) and lets u decide for urself. He provides sum really good jokes as well into the mix so its not just a complete all out slag (on sum games more than others). He has extremely high standards and its good to get both sides of the coin in many circumstances. While many reviewers write from an unbiased, unopinionated view point he chooses to write from a gamers point of view and can pick up on things that other reviews can miss.

While it all comes down to opinion i always try to refer to him and gamespot b4 playin a game, because it helps me get a better understandin of a game, the good and bad points and lets me make an informed decision. Plus its highly amusing to watch :D

I fully agree with him on GTA IV and Saints Row 2(though Saints Row 2 isn't my game of the year, LOL).

He does make some really good points when reviewing games, and is funny as well. He seems to be more of a critic than a reviewer, though. As he usually points out all the bad things about games and hardly mentions the good things.
