Is it all over Forza Gran Turismo series?
Grand Turismo 4 is one of the least forgiving games around ,blurring the lines between work and play, and never letting up the pressure in making the player drive seriously as possibly.Forza, however, lets you tinker quite significantly with its difficulty..At its loosest - with all driving aids activated - it doesn't feel that far removed from PGR2,but taken out of the city and set onto more traditional race tracks..Fast powerful cars roar smoothly around some modestly pretty tracks ,but you do get a strong eye for customization as a bonus.
As well as paint jobs and aftermarket parts, you have 100 layers on each panel for vinyls and decals - wich is slightly insane. But if garish modding is your thing, your in technicolor heaven.
Plus, unlike GT4,Forza allows you to start out with a decent car instead of having to earn your stripes with an embarrassing underpowered rust bucket.Taken as a close to real sim, though,it just hasn't got the insane breadth of Turismo, and is more likely to satisfy those after something more accesible than Sony's garage Godfather.
But Forza is in a class of its own Xbox, beyond Sega GT and Group S Challenge, and should satisfy all but the most demanding of boy racers out there.
