Just my thoughts
Gameplay:
I like the way turn 10 has added assists to the game which allows the more novice players to be competitive. My girlfriend plays with all the assists on and she can keep up relatively well with me (not saying girls aren't good drivers).
The handling is nearly spot on. In my opinion much better than Gran Turismo but to be honest i can't say that conclusively until Gran Turismo is released
There are a few things that annoy me about the gameplay, one of which is why is the player able to add spoilers diffusers livery etc but the AI does not. This makes the single player game look a little bland in my view.
The customisation is spot on there are hundreds of upgrades and the livery editor is very good if you have a spare hour or two.
And if you dont you can alway buy it from the storefront where there are thousands of liveries and designs to choose from
Graphics:
Not overly stunning but not the worsed i have seen. But what can you expect from a game that has hundreds of tracks and hundreds of cars.
Multiplayer:
Now this is a hard one because i really enjoy the online multiplayer but only if im in a room with people that race properly and dont just smash you off on the first corner. When i first got the game i went online straight away and had a bad match it was full of people swearing and smashing each other off so i didn't bother going back online for a month or two. What im trying to say is if you can find a good group of people the online is 10/10 but if its a bad room 1/10.
One other thing is all online matches are match made no-one has control over the settings i.e which track, car class, collisions on/off. I think if they added this function people would have alot more fun.
Downloadable content:
I have donloaded everything there is for this game and I am dissapointed with some of it.
The first of which is the Nurbergring Grand Prix Circuit, the only place i have been able to use it is free race which i thought was a bit of a rip-off. I would have expected it to have added a few more races on the season play and for it to come up on the online racing. so the only way i can use it is with the bland AI cars in free race.
But on the other hand i have downloaded loads of extra cars which you can't go wrong with!
Overall I would recommend this to anyone who likes racing games its not as exciting as PG4 but its more comprehensive than games like NFS Shift.
