Freedom Fighters is a 3rd person shooter set in soviet controlled New Your City. Yes i said SOVIET control, apparantly in the future comunist Russia is still USSR and they have successfully invaded America. As you progress through the game you will gain more followers, more squadmates. The controls for them are very well put together and they respond well to them. You teammates are very smart. They also can take alot of bullets, a lot. Most missions you will need their help, without it you have to deal with the whole Russion onslaut by yourself, good luck! The graphics are beautiful, very rich and deitailed enviormets just add to the gaming experiance. Also the game runs at a very very constant framerate considering that there is anywhere from 30 to 35 bots on the screen. The enemy AI is ok, they are stupid enough to run right infront of machine gun fire, or right into you. The real only time you die is when you get completely surrounded. The sound is great, each gun sounds diffrent and rich. Battles are inhanced with the fullness of the sound. The idea of this game is perfect, it is so original that you will be fighting for years and years to come because of this game. I love this game and it is one of the best squad based shooters ever. If you have ever liked the Goast Recon games or the Rainbow Six games but didnt like the squad part as much because it is overwhelming at times, this game is for you.
