Very good & addicting but sadly, been there done that!
The environment has both offerings of beautiful vistas and wastelands of manmade objects laying around distant roads. One of the cool things is if you choose to drive the distance of one challenge to another, you'll notice the subtle change in time of day. At which the sun sets and your headlights will automatically go on. Despite the sound needs work, it serves its purpose, regardless that some vehicles do sound similar.
Other than that...it's got checkpoint races, challenges and a basic career mode. The vast array of vehicles have basic modifications like paint and decals that are kinda lame. Rider mods are available as well such as skin color, tattoos and basic clothing to choose from after they've been unlocked.
As good as the game is, it lacks something. Something to push it over the top. It needs one more element...weapons!! ...a la old-skool Twisted Metal from the early PS days. Try racing while being shot at or running over land mines that someone else had left behind.
Combine that element with your finishing rank with how much damage you did to your opponents gives you your final finishing place....ooooohh, smell the destructive goodness!!
In conclusion, the draw is there is so much to see as the environment in this thing is HUGE!!
