The game promises to get rid of all the in between stuff that the Mario Party games have and get right to the minigames.

Unfortunately, I like the parts in between the minigames. It adds a bit of depth to an otherwise pretty flat genre of gameplay. The board game elements and gambles/chance that Mario Party adds to the party game makes for an overall experience. With this game once you go through all the little games, there's not much there after you've seen and played it all. A lot of the minigames are fun, but overall there just wasn't enough to hold on to here. This is a renter. I guess though if you hate the inbetween stuff from Mario Party (the board game elements), but love the minigames, then this game is perfect for you
