One of my favorite games of all time is Master of Orion and Master of Orion 2. MOO 3 was a decent game but went in a different direction than 1 & 2. This game takes the best elements of MOO 2 and gives you a whole new set of tech to follow. The races are a bit more diverse and the custom race gives you a lot of options so that the game doesn't get stale. You can win 4 different ways and there are many different choices to make that give you bonuses or negatives to your racial abilities. Needless to say this game takes me back to a better time for turn based strategy games, but gives a new modern flair that will keep you coming back and playing the game. This is an easy choice for the hall of fame like Civilization, Master of Orion and Alpha Centauri. --EW
