It is just like 1981...only this time I am alive...
The game play is good and it feels like a straight port. Which is a good thing because of that nostalgic feel. Of course everyone loves being able to form the "double ship" and take over space. The classic music is great and you will find yourself humming the start-up tune after the game ends.
The achievements of this game is where the flaws come into play. They are extremely easy to get. I got all of them in just two sittings. Part of the problem is that the game has a continue feature that lets you start at any level that you have been to. Therefore you could keep continuing until you see all the enemies and visit levels 10, 20 and 30. So that is 9 out of 12 achivements with no real skill involved.
In the end it is a good game for what it is worth ($5) and if you like the classics, why not pick it up?
