Another great arcade game hits Live Arcade with some easy gamerscore opportunities and challenging gameplay.

User Rating: 7 | Galaga X360
Galaga is yet another fantastic port of an old-school classic. Considered to be Space Invaders on crank, ecstasy and just a dab of heroin, Galaga requires precision maneuvering of your surprisingly fragile and ill-equipped space fighter to blast away at overwhelming numbers of alien bug-like objects with a penchant for organized air shows.

Easiest achievements on Xbox Live right here, folks. If you play for an hour or two, all 200G will be yours. This is partly thanks to an option given to the player to pick up exactly where they left off: if you die on Stage 15, you may choose to start again at Stage 15 with a 0 point total. This, of course, will not help anyone trying to snake their way onto the top of the Galaga leaderboards, but it's nice for those crack-addicted gamerscore fiends, like Jeff Gerstmann and myself.

Classic arcade addicts will be satisfied by the near-perfect port of the game to the Xbox 360, while more casual gamers may be put off by the difficulty level. My only real complaint is that there is no online multiplayer. For 400 points, Galaga is well worth the purchase, whether your intention is an easy boost in your gamerscore or simply blasting some alien butt.
