All available on Disney+
Disney+ has arrived, and I could not be any more excited. The latest streaming service offers up so many movies and TV shows, and there are plenty of things on there you've probably never even heard of. There's a whole section of movies that just aired on the Disney Channel and never saw a theatrical release.
You can spend days going through all the material on the service trying to watch the entirety of Star Wars in chronological order or the many TV shows from your childhood you've missed.
However, according to the person that assigned this write-up to me, some of these movie titles are suggestive in nature. Frankly, I don't see it because I don't have a dirty mind, but I have been reassured that many of these movie titles could have a second meaning.
So digging through all the movies available to watch right now on Disney+, here are 10 movies which some people think are suggestive in some way. Again, I don't know why because these titles seem perfectly normal to me.
The Black Hole
Alright, first one. The Black Hole… What's suggestive about that? It's simply a movie I've written about time and time again on GameSpot. It's a movie about an exploratory ship finding a stranded ship, orbiting a black hole in space. Do people find orbiting suggestive? Anyway, there's a mad scientist with evil "robots," and the heroes have to stop him.
I see nothing suggestive or provocative about this title. I mean, science and space exploration are sexy, but not in that way.
Now You See It…
Here's a movie I am not familiar with. It's called Now You See It… I assume it's about magic, America's favorite pastime. The movie is apparently about a TV show producer--who is like 16 years old--who is casting a new reality show to find the world's best kid magician. However, what she finds is a great friend.
I guess what makes this title so suggestive is "It." I've now read the synopsis and watched a trailer for the movie, and it's pretty obvious that "It" refers both to magic as well as friendship. What I don't see is why this movie title is allegedly suggestive.
Once Upon A Mattress
Ahh yes, the American mattress. It's my favorite place to lay down when I'm tired. Originally, this was an episode of The Wonderful World of Disney. Starring Carol Burnett, Tracey Ullman, and Zooey Deschanel, this is a delightful retelling of the classic story "The Princess and the Pea."
As I've already stated, a mattress is where you sleep--or sometimes, where you eat breakfast. What's dirty about that?
The Rescuers Down Under
Oh yeah! I totally get this one. The Rescuers go… Down Under… They're in Australia. This group of mice likes to help people, and in the first movie, they helped a little girl who had been kidnapped by treasure hunters. Now, they're in Australia and stopping a poacher from hunting down a rare golden eagle.
This one is obviously dirty because in the Southern Hemisphere, water in the toilet swirls the opposite way than water in the Northern Hemisphere. So when you see the worlds "Down Under," you think about toilets.
Tuck Everlasting
What is this? A movie about immortals? According to the IMDb synopsis, it actually is. It's the story of a woman falling in love with an immortal. Ok. I mean the movie is about love, but the title doesn't explicitly state that. The word "Tuck" does rhyme with… Oh my… That is gross. I was planning on watching this on Saturday and now I can't unsee Muck Everlasting. That truly is a dirty title. Just imagine your pants covered in mud, and you can never clean it off. Disgusting.
Double Teamed
Twin volleyball players become famous basketball players. That's the movie! The title has a double meaning. They're twins, AND "double team" is a sports term where two defenders take on one person on offense. I guess what's suggestive about this title is that it's telling sports teams that this kind of defense is ok to do all the time. It's not though because someone on the offense will be open. I understand sports very well.
Herbie Rides Again
Herbie: The Lovebug is a car that is possessed by a ghost or something. I never really kept up with these movies. In this 1974 movie, the Volkswagen Beetle--which I'm assuming is also from Hell--has to help a woman protect her home from a developer. I don't understand why I was asked to put this one on the list.
Going to the Mat
Hey! My name is Mat! This movie isn't about me though. It's about a new kid at school who's blind that joins the wrestling team. So, why is this so suggestive? Going to the Mat… If you go to Mat, you'd be hanging out with me, but we'd probably just play D&D or video games together. Nothing really NSFW about that.
Holes
I have seen this movie and even read the book it was based on. It's about kids at a juvenile detention center in the desert, digging a bunch of holes. So, let me see if I can find out what's dirty about this one. You put things in holes. You could put a dirt in a hole, but then your clothes would get soiled. Then you'd be Muck Everlasting. I get it. Gross.
Mom's Got a Date with a Vampire
Here we go! I know why this is suggestive! Because if the mother and the vampire go on a string of successful dates, they could end up getting married, which will lead to a consummation of their marriage. Bow-chicka-wa-wa.
Honestly, I added this one to the list because I didn't understand any of the other ones.
