While the typical retail price for an Amiibo is only $12.99, their relative scarcity has caused prices to skyrocket. For example, this legless Princess Peach, the result of a manufacturing defect, sold for $25,100 on eBay.

A plush-and-cuddly platformer like Yoshi's Woolly World definitely deserves its own plush-and-cuddly Amiibo. Here, Nintendo more than delivered with the oversized (7-inch) Mega Yarn Yoshi Amiibo, a Toys 'R' Us exclusive.

Quantities were highly limited in stores, driving prices online up to the $60 to $80 range.
