A Full Lineup
After months of eager anticipation, PlayStation VR is finally set to launch next week on October 13. With a laundry list of games available at and around launch, we've compiled them here for your convenience. Click ahead to see the initial game roster for Sony's much-anticipated VR headset.
100ft Robot Golf
100ft Robot Golf is a game in which the name perfectly describes its premise. Control a giant robot and swing your golf club across a multitude of fully destructible courses. With a story-driven single-player campaign and a multiplayer mode supporting up to four players, this upcoming golf "simulator" is bound to please those looking to cause chaos and tee off.
Ace Banana
Ace Banana deviates from the typical premise of VR shooting galleries, focusing instead on horde mode-like action. It puts you in control of an anthropomorphic banana tasked with defending its brethren from an army of invading monkeys. You'd best up your archery skills, lest you want to end up eaten.
Batman: Arkham VR
Batman: Arkham VR allows you to see through the eyes of the Caped Crusader, giving you access to his legendary detective skills. You'll investigate crime scenes, solve murder mysteries, and interact with some of the character's most iconic villains. If you're a die-hard fan of Batman, this VR experience is for you.
Battlezone
Battlezone is a remake of the classic 1980s tank arcade game of the same name, which is actually one of the earliest VR games ever made. With a retro Tron-like aesthetic, the game looks to be a visually pleasing successor to the iconic first-person tank action of its predecessor.
Bound
The recently released Bound is getting VR support at PSVR's launch, allowing you to closer observe its fantastical world. For those who haven't played it, you control a dancer journeying through the wonders of a woman's childhood memories.
Drive Club VR
While VR racing game fans still have to wait awhile for the upcoming Gran Turismo Sport, they'll be pleased to know that 2014's Driveclub is releasing as a standalone VR title for PSVR's launch. With the addition of new urban tracks on which to test your skills, this racer should prove a sufficient offering for those looking to get a high-speed fix.
Eve: Valkyrie
Eve: Valkyrie lets you live out childhood fantasies of being an ace spaceship pilot. As an elite member of Valkyrie, a group of treacherous galactic pirates, you'll zip past the stars, gunning down trade fleets and the multitude of enemy fighter pilots that defend them. Their precious loot is yours to claim, just as long as you've got the pilot skills to earn it.
Eve: Gunjack
If the intense spaceship fights of Eve: Valkyrie aren't your cup of tea, then Eve: Gunjack should do well in giving you a similar dose of sci-fi infused action in the Eve Online universe. It's an action arcade first-person shooter where you pilot a stationary turret on a mining platform, shooting oncoming waves of enemy ships.
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X
You can finally enact your inner diva in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X thanks to PSVR. Alongside Miku and her friends, you'll take on a host of rhythm-based challenges, as well as unlock new modules, which give the crew special abilities that better your chances of success and increase item drop rates.
Here They Lie
Here They Lie is a surreal horror game that throws you into the dark realm of the subconscious where the line between reality and nightmare wears thin. While not much is known about its story, what has been shown of this eerie VR experience looks well worth the time of the most adamant of horror fans.
Harmonix Music VR
Music game fans should be pleased to know that Harmonix--the studio behind Rock Band and Guitar Hero--is creating a new PSVR experience. Titled Harmonix Music VR, the game lets you listen to and experience music through a series of different VR spaces. Whether it's navigating a kaleidoscope tunnel reacting to the beat of the music, or creating your own virtual dance party, Harmonix's latest offering lets you experience music in ways you've never thought possible.
Headmaster
In Headmaster, you use the PSVR's head tracking to hit soccer balls into goals for points. It's literally that simple. But don't be fooled, the charm of Headmaster's outrageous, yet challenging courses creates a bevy of entertaining moments.
Hustle Kings VR
Have you ever wanted the convenience of playing Pool at home but don't have room for a table? Then Hustle Kings VR should prove the best solution to your dilemma. This VR experience offers you the ability to play popular cue sports, such as 8-Ball, Black Ball, Cut Throat, and more.
Job Simulator
If you're a fan of ridiculous physics-based games, then Job Simulator is for you. It takes places in a future where humans no longer hold jobs, instead relying on highly intelligent robots to rule and organize the world. In an effort to remind humans of the jobs their ancestors used to have, the robots recreated a variety of workplace environments to teach humans how to work again. Job Simulator lets you grab and throw objects in the environment to your heart's content; it's by no means an accurate representation of the workplace as we know it today, but it's certainly an amusing one.
Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes
Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes is a multiplayer VR game where one player (the one wearing the headset) is trapped in a room with a time bomb. The other players are tasked with giving instructions on how to defuse the bomb by reading an accompanying defusal manual. The catch? Only the player with the headset can see the bomb, so it's up to both sides to communicate efficiently to defuse it before the time runs up.
Loading Human
Loading Human is sci-fi adventure where you play as a man forced to travel into space to save the life of his arrogant dying father. But the task proves difficult, as mysterious dangers threaten his advance, forcing him to question what's he cares about: his father's health or his own selfish desires?
PlayStation VR Worlds
PlayStation VR Worlds is the pack-in game included with the PSVR bundle. It includes a variety of different demos, ranging from passive experiences to more active ones. Highlights include: Ocean Descent, a brief adventure that takes you down into the depths of the ocean in a shark cage; and the action-packed London Heist, where you're forced to survive a high-speed car chase down a freeway.
Rez Infinite
The cult classic rhythm shooter Rez is a completely different experience through the lens of PSVR. This new version, titled Rez Infinite, completely immerses you in its rhythmic beats and minimalist visuals. Whether you've played the original or not, experiencing Rez Infinite is an absolute must.
Rigs: Mechanized Combat League
Rigs: Mechanized Combat League is a multiplayer sports action game that puts you in the cockpit of a giant mech known as a Rig. With this massive machine, you join alongside two others to compete against opposing teams in a variety of different sporting events.
Rise of the Tomb Raider: Blood Ties
Blood Ties--the latest Rise of the Tomb Raider DLC--can be played using PSVR. Through the eyes of Lara Croft, you'll explore her family home in search of evidence to prove her right to inherit her father's estate.
SportsBarVR
SportsBarVR is a social experience where you and up to five others can join in a social space and play a variety of different pub games, such as 8-Ball, Air Hockey, Skee Ball, and Darts. It's also possible to drink virtual alcohol, but it's unclear how this will affect your ability to play.
SuperHyperCube
SuperHyperCube is a fascinating first-person puzzle game where you control a group of cubes and rotate them accordingly to fit through a hole that's slowly coming towards you. The concept sounds simple on paper, but its execution is both rewarding and challenging in all the right ways.
Super Stardust Ultra VR
The VR version of Super Stardust Ultra allows you to play the game from a new perspective. Where the original was displayed from a top-down perspective, the VR version puts you directly in the cockpit of a space fighter. The result is a refreshing take on an already hectic and action-packed experience.
The Assembly
The Assembly challenges you to question your morality in the face of a mysterious organization. You play as two individuals, who must each take a stand for what they believe in. However, the choices you make as them will only serve to throw you into even tougher situations. Will your actions save lives or will they ruin the world, as we know it? It's up to you.
The Playroom VR
The Playroom VR comes as a free download at launch for all PSVR users. It's packed with six competitive mini-games where up to four players can join alongside you. From a cat and mouse chase where you try to find the locations of other players, to a Godzilla-like battle where you play as a giant monster attempting to defeat player-controlled robots, there are more than enough humorous multiplayer scenarios to jump into.
Thumper
Thumper is a rhythm-action game that puts you in control of a space beetle zipping through high-speed pathways surrounded by an array of intense visuals. Unlike others in its genre, the game puts its focus on the speed and physicality of navigation and hitting obstacles to the beat of music.
Tumble VR
Tumble VR takes the challenging puzzle solving from the PS3 original and blends it into the immersive landscape of PSVR. Aside from the addition of new levels and updated visuals, Tumble VR also includes cooperative and competitive modes using the PlayStation VR Social Screen, which allows those not wearing the headset to participate with the VR player.
Until Dawn: Rush of Blood
Until Dawn: Rush of Blood is a spin-off of the critically acclaimed cinematic horror adventure of the same name. But unlike that game, Rush of Blood is an on-rails arcade shooter developed from specifically for VR. With a funhouse inspired visual theme to go along with its signature horror, this experience is more playful than its predecessor.
Volume: Coda

Without spoiling much, you control a character enlisted by the evil corporation that Robin Locksley attempted to take down in the original. The game is available exclusively for PSVR and features 30 new levels to explore, as well as the ability to access Volume's main campaign in VR.
Wayward Sky
Wayward Sky is a colorful third-person puzzler where you control Bess, a young pilot on a mission to rescue her father from the perils of a dangerous floating fortress.
