How To Romance Rin In Assassin's Creed Shadows

Are you hoping to romance Rin in Assassin's Creed Shadows? This lady wants to start a new life on her own, but she needs someone to help her get back on her feet, namely by learning combat and survival techniques. Of course, there's no better teacher than Yasuke himself.

How to romance Rin in Assassin's Creed Shadows

You can romance Rin by heading to the village of Gobo in the region of Kii, which is in the southernmost section of the world map. Also, if you check the map, you'll notice an area called Sazae Oni Shores. Just follow the river as it leads to the south until you arrive at the village.

Note that the Kii region has enemies that are level 35 or higher. If you plan on fighting foes, then you should probably have the best skills for Yasuke and the best skills for Naoe.

Winter Raiders isn't a quest that's part of the Assassin's Creed Shadows Rin romance arc. However, it serves as your introduction to her.

• Head to the village square in Gobo and make sure you're playing as Yasuke.
• You should see a woman named Rin who's looking for a brave warrior.
• Talk to her and follow her to the elder's hut.
• Speak with the elder to learn about a group of bandits. This causes the Winter Raiders assassination targets board to appear in your objectives menu.
• If your only goal is to romance Rin, then you don't need to fight any of the Winter Raiders at all. Simply exit the elder's hut and Rin will ask you for a favor.

That favor involves teaching Rin about the ways of war in a quest called Arrow Strike. From Gobo, keep going east to the marked location, which is near the Mount Takayama fast travel point. You'll then see a point-of-interest called Mount Omori Hut, which is actually Rin's home.

• Yasuke romance reply: "Let me help you clean."
• Task: Shoot all five targets with your bow.
• Yasuke romance reply: "It wasn't my archery that you were testing."
• Reward: Discipline's Reward (legendary amulet) and Arrow Nock Speed for Bow Mastery (legendary engraving).

Important: Unlike other NPCs, Rin's next quests are all affected by the change in seasons. As such, you need to wait for enough time to pass in-game. Once the cutscene for the next season occurs, you should receive a new quest from Rin.

Go back to Rin's house come next season and do the following:

• Follow Rin to the glade with the horse and calm the horse down.
• Mount up and lead Rin to the waterfall.
• Yasuke romance reply: "You excel at everything you try."

The last quest that's part of the Rin romance in Assassin's Creed Shadows occurs after another seasonal transition. As you approach Rin's home, you'll hear the sound of battle. Here's what you need to do next:

• Don't bother killing the bandits since Rin can handle them on her own.
• Talk to Rin and race her to the town. We let her win after Yasuke made a remark.
• Romance reply when buying onigiri: "Plum onigiri, please."
• Romance reply after talking to the musician: "I want to draw a picture of you."
• Romance reply at the bridge: "I would like to kiss you."

Doing all the above completes the Assassin's Creed Shadows Rin romance arc. It's probably the most wholesome segment in the entire game, and we couldn't help but smile whenever we tackled these tasks.

In any case, you can still romance other characters as Yasuke and Naoe, so don't worry about having any commitment whatsoever with Rin. Lastly, Rin cannot join you in battle, but there are other recruitable allies/companions in the game.
