Are you hoping to reach the Antechamber and Room 46 in Blue Prince? Story-wise, these are considered as your main goals in the campaign. A long trek through the manor that, eventually, leads you to the furthest ranks so that you can claim your inheritance. But the going does get tough, so we've got a guide to help you prepare along the way. Also, to be clear, this guide does contain spoilers.
How to reach the Antechamber and Room 46 in Blue Prince
The path to reach Room 46 in Blue Prince is long and arduous. You're not always guaranteed to get the rooms that you want, and you might not have enough steps or resources to make it all the way to the end. However, with patience and tenacity, as well as a lot of luck, you should be able to succeed.
Note: By default, the Antechamber's entrances are all locked. The goal is to find levers in specific rooms. You can then interact with these to unlock their respective doorways. Naturally, you still need to draft rooms to create a path to those doorways.
Secret Garden: Western Antechamber Door
Perhaps the easiest way to access the Antechamber in Blue Prince is via the Secret Garden. Once you've found it, you can rotate the two valves so that the wind vanes point to the west--i.e. toward the far wall. This causes the pedestal to rotate, revealing the hidden lever. This lever opens the western Antechamber door, so you just need to make your way there.
Greenhouse: Southern Antechamber Door
The Greenhouse typically appears along the far-right side of the manor. Once you enter it, you should notice a device on the wall. Unfortunately, there's no lever.
You need to look for a Broken Lever which, like most other items, tends to appear randomly in rooms. Most of the time, though, we've seen it on a desk in Security and on a crate in the Spare Room. Once you have a Broken Lever, head back to the panel and attach it to activate the device.
Great Hall: Eastern Antechamber Door
The Great Hall has four connections, several items, an Upgrade Disk, and a lever for the Antechamber in Blue Prince. There are just a couple of caveats:
- All of the other doors are locked. As such, you need several keys or you need to be lucky enough with the Lockpicking Set.
- Alternatively, you can draft the Foyer before the Great Hall. The Foyer, once active, causes all doors in Hallways to remain unlocked. This ensures that you can check every nook and cranny in the Great Hall without issues.
The Antechamber and the Basement Key
You're going to be in for a surprise once you arrive at the Antechamber. That's because the Antechamber door to the north is also locked. A note on the pedestal says that, "To go up, you must go down." There's also a Basement Key that you can pick up.
Now, you have a new objective:
- Make your way to the Underground. There are various entrances which we discuss in our Underground guide.
- The doors down below are locked, but you can open them with the Basement Key. Every door that you open in this manner will remain unlocked for future runs, even if the Basement Key returns to the Antechamber and it's not in your inventory.
- To summarize: Your goal is to go through the Rotating Gear Puzzle in the Underground. This leads you to a sanctum with the lever for the northern Antechamber door.
- Pull the lever to unlock the door, then return to the Antechamber and enter Room 46.

More Antechamber levers and returning to Room 46
Yes, this whole journey might've been a doozy and it can take you several attempts. But, sooner or later, you should find yourself in Room 46 in Blue Prince. Go watch the cutscene, enjoy the fruits of your labor, and wait for the game over scre... Oh, what's that? We have more stuff to do?
No, we're not joking at all. Reaching Room 46 in Blue Prince is just the tip of a continent-sized iceberg. We don't want to spoil all the details, but you will discover new rooms, more perplexing puzzles, and countless secrets that are intricately woven.
You can definitely return to Room 46 if you want, as there are some cool things to discover. Likewise, there are additional levers that grant access on top of the default options:
- Secret Garden: Eastern Antechamber Door - You need the Power Hammer to destroy the weakened wall. This activates another wind vane that points east. Have all wind waves point to the east to reveal another control panel.
- Weight Room: Southern Antechamber Door - You also need the Power Hammer for this one. Use it to smash the wall behind the punching bag.
- Mechanarium: Western Antechamber Door - This room's blueprint can be found in the Underground. The Mechanarium Puzzle itself requires you to have access to its side doors, one of which has a control panel.
- Throne Room: Northern Antechamber Door - You can get the Throne Room blueprint once you've found all the Microchips. Draft it and check behind the throne to find a lever.
