How To Activate All Blue Flames In Blue Prince

Are you thinking about how to activate all the blue flames in Blue Prince? One moment you're enjoying your romps inside the manor, then the next run you decide to turn around, only to realize that there's a pedestal at the edge of the cliff, and it looks like you can interact with stuff there. Nothing in this game is an accident. Everything is intentionally designed to pique your curiosity. Well, consider your curiosity rewarded, because things are about to... get lit. Oh, and do watch out because this article has spoilers.

How to activate all blue flames in Blue Prince

The blue flames or their pedestals, rather, are found in the cliffside area just south of the entrance. There are four pedestals here, and it looks like yellow valves are connected to them. That means we need to find and interact with other gas valves in the game.

Here's the kicker: All of these gas valves are in the outer section of the manor yard. However, you still need to explore the building itself just to unlock various secrets along the way.

Note: You can activate the Blue Prince blue flames outside the manor in any order. We just numbered them accordingly for theming purposes.

You can find a gas valve in the Apple Orchard, which is just behind the Campsite. You won't be able to access it from the get-go because there's a white picket fence blocking the way. As for this particular blue flame, you need to gain access to the Gemstone Cavern. It's also fairly close to the Campsite, though you have to go up a sloping path.

To open the large metal gate into the cavern, you must complete the task in the Breaker Box puzzle. You can reference our Breaker Box puzzle guide for details.

You must permanently unlock the West Gate Path by going through the Garage Door. This grants you access to the outer rooms, two of which allow you to activate the remaining Blue Flames in Blue Prince.

Generally speaking, the Outer Rooms have their own selection pool separate from those in the manor, though they also provide nifty buffs for your runs. The ones that you need are the Hovel and the Schoolhouse. Each of these rooms has a gas valve inside.

Note: That said, the selection pool is still random, so it might take you a while until you see these options in successive runs.

Once you've activated the four blue flames in Blue Prince, a cutscene triggers and an elevator appears. You can then ride it all the way down to the Underground. Specifically, this leads you to the following points of interest:
