Yes, you can indeed destroy walls in Blue Prince. You'll probably notice these odd fixtures in certain rooms--it seems that the walls are weakened or about to collapse. The only way to see what's behind these barriers is by finding the right tool. Before we continue with our guide, please be reminded that we're going to mention some minor spoilers.

How to destroy walls in Blue Prince

You can destroy walls once you've found a Power Hammer. Compared to the reliable Sledge Hammer that can break open locked trunks/chests, the Power Hammer is a beefed up contraption that smashes through weakened brick walls.

Note 1: You lose all items each day/reset. As such, we recommend placing them in the Coat Check so you can retrieve them in a future playthrough.

Note 2: When you smash a wall in the game, that effect is permanent. Those walls will be destroyed even in future days/runs.

How to craft the Power Hammer

The Power Hammer can be crafted via the Workshop, which is one of the best rooms to have in the manor. Here's what you need:

    • Sledge Hammer - Can sometimes appear in dead-end rooms, green rooms, and the Toolshed outer room. Alternatively, you can purchase it from the Commissary if it's available.
    • Broken Lever - Usually left behind on the Security desk and on a crate in the Spare Room.
    • Battery Pack - Most of the time, we've seen the Battery Pack on the Workshop table.

Now that you have something that can destroy walls in Blue Prince, it's time to do a bit of redecorating by smashing up some rooms. Here are the locations that you want to visit:

    • Secret Garden - Reveals another valve. Rotate all three wind vanes to point to the east so you can unlock one Antechamber door. Rotating all the valves to the south, meanwhile, reveals a curious-looking sigil.
    • Weight Room - Smash the wall behind the punching bag to reveal another alternate lever for the Antechamber.
    • Greenhouse - This reveals a clue, and it creates another opening for the Greenhouse.
    • Freezer - Smash the ice wall instead of melting it via a nearby Furnace.

There are also other locations that you should check out:

    • The Grounds/Basement - You can smash the debris at the Grounds in front of the manor, as well as the Basement area beyond the Foundation elevator. Both of these connect to the Underground. This is an alternate pathway in case you placed the Foundation farther into the manor, and you just need to access the depths closer to the entrance.
    • Chess Puzzle - There's a section of the wall in the Chess Puzzle chamber that has cracks. See what happens when you break through it.

There are other areas where the Power Hammer will prove to be useful, such as the section right after you remove the tunnel crates. That said, you shouldn't focus on that immediately. For now, you could also try getting something that can light candles and torches.

A surreal adventure filled with wonders and mysteries await you in Blue Prince. If ever you feel stuck or lost at any point in time in your playthrough, don't forget to check our Blue Prince guides hub.
