Do you want to solve the Chapel and Tomb Puzzle in Blue Prince? While both of these locations tend to be distant from one another (due to how mechanics work), they're nonetheless intricately connected, as you'll soon find out while exploring. Our guide discusses what you can expect from the clues and how to find a handy exit. Oh, and lest we forget, this article contains minor spoilers.
How to solve the Chapel and Tomb Puzzle in Blue Prince
The Tomb Puzzle can be solved if you look closely at the clues in the Chapel. The Chapel commonly appears as a drafting option in the manor. It's a red room, which means it has a debuff, one that causes you to lose one gold whenever you enter it. This might be a hassle early on in your playthrough, but certain bonuses, such as being able to increase your gold allowance, make this effect negligible in the long run.
As for the Tomb, it's not a room that you can draft inside the manor. Rather, it's an outer room, which means you need to unlock the Garage Door to gain access to the West Gate Path. The nearby shed has its own selection pool, and the Tomb might appear as a random option each day.
Where are the clues in the Chapel?
If it's your first time attempting the Blue Prince Tomb Puzzle, then you'll notice that the crypt has seven statues of goddesses. You could even interact with each statue's arm and the object that they're holding. The problem is that the clues are all in the Chapel.
If you're able to draft the Chapel, go ahead and look at the stained glass artworks. Every goddess that's depicted has a number below their pane. These numbers represent the order in which you should interact with them back at the Tomb.
Tomb Puzzle solution: Statues 1 to 4
Okay, now it's time to solve the Tomb Puzzle in Blue Prince. You need to interact with the arms/handheld objects, which causes their arm to move downward.
- First statue: Wearing a bowler hat and holding a plough.
- Second statue: Wearing a chef's hat and holding a circular pan.
- Third statue: Wearing a farmer's hat and holding a rake.
- Fourth statue: Wearing a top hat and holding a feather duster.
Tomb Puzzle solution: Statues 5 to 7
You need to interact with three more statues:
- Fifth statue: Wearing a bonnet and holding a broom.
- Sixth statue: Wearing a jockey cap and holding a riding crop.
- Seventh statue: Wearing a crown and holding a scepter.
The exit to the Underground
If you did everything right, the wall near the seventh statue will move, revealing a path that leads further down below. There, you'll find the statue of the reaper, the Angel of Death. There's also a partial map of the Underground in front of it. When you interact with the reaper's scythe, another fake wall will part. The corridor beyond leads to the Underground proper.
That does it for our guide on how to complete the Chapel and Tomb Puzzle in Blue Prince. You're going to check the Tomb area again, but that's for much later in the campaign. For now, you might want to take a look at various Underground secrets and entrances.
