The world of Dark Souls is a dangerous place. So between the bosses, traps, and enemy hordes, you can use all the help you can get.

Upon arriving at Firelink Shrine--Dark Souls III's hub area--you'll meet the Handmaid. She sells various items and equipment for use during your travels. Most of her wares are self-explanatory, such as the weapon repair powder or firebomb, but others, such as the ember, hint at more obscure aspects of the game's systems.
