Dragon Age: The Veilguard - All Fen'harel Altar Locations

The lands of Dragon Age: The Veilguard hold many secrets. One particular kind requires you to interact with large statues and then find a nearby spirit. Here's our guide on where to find all Fen'harel Altars in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

All Fen'harel Altars in Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Fen'harel is one of the many names attributed to Solas, an elven god and one-time companion of the Inquisitor. Various regions in Thedas have numerous shrines dedicated to his wolf form, and there are also several in the Crossroads.

Whenever you interact with Fen'harel Altars in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, they'll turn toward a direction. Follow the path where they're pointing until you see a spectral wolf, which then drops a small glowing object. Once you pick it up, you'll receive +1 skill point. This free skill point can then be used to unlock more perks and abilities, such as the ones for your Warrior build.

Note 1: While exploring, you may also come across elven statues. These grant +100 health instead. You can learn more in our Evanuris Altars guide.

Note 2: The large Fen'harel Altars aren't to be confused with smaller wolf statuettes. These are items required for the spoiler-filled Regrets of the Dread Wolf quest.

The statue is inside the tunnel at the back of the stream. You're likely to stumble upon it while doing Bellara's Echoes of the Past personal quest or via early-game exploration. However, the glowing decor is on top of a platform at the Shoreside Courtyard area. You can also access this location while tackling Harding's An Unfamiliar Sense personal quest. This is where she'll practice her stone-moving magic to create ledges for you.

The statue can be found at the eastern portion of the zone in an area called the Tainted Woods. Hop on the ledges and look for explosive barrels at the top of a stone structure. Hit them with your ranged attack to destroy a wall. This creates an opening that reveals the statue. The spectral wolf, meanwhile, is at the end of the path along the right-hand side.

This Dragon Age: The Veilguard Fen'harel Statue is located in the northwestern part of Arlathan Forest. You gain access to this place while doing a region quest called The Magic of the Ancients. Once you reach the top using ledges and a zipline, you'll spot the altar. The glowing decor, meanwhile, is on a stone platform at the opposite side.

While exploring Andraste's Watch in Dock Town, you'll notice this Fen'harel Altar at the edge of a wooden walkway. The wolf spirit is at the bottom of a pit. Watch out for the demons that appear when you drop down, and try to avoid hitting the blight pod that houses a Darkspawn Champion.

The second Fen'harel Altar in Dock Town can be found in the Spillway/Seclusion area at the western part of the map. It's also the same place where you fought Bataris early in the campaign, and where you're going to find the Formless One as part of the Pinnacle of Its Kind quest.

Check the chamber off to the side near the water to find a wolf statue and a power crystal. If you bring the power crystal to the receptacle, the turret will automatically fire its laser to create a bridge.

Treviso only has one Fen'harel Altar (the city doesn't even have an Evanuris Statue). To find it, use the Heart and Central beacon which, as the term implies, is in the middle of the map. From there, keep going east until you arrive at Dellamorte Estates. Check the back of the area and tag the statue. Then, take a look at the small nook to the north to spot the spectral wolf. Don't forget to destroy the crates to pick up the ornament.

To get this Dragon Age: The Veilguard Fen'harel Altar, go to the Flooded Farmlands in the eastern part of the map. The statue is behind a ruined hut in the rightmost portion of this area. It will then point to the opposite side. The glowing ornament itself is on a smaller hut next to the fast travel point.

In the Lost Village, you'll stumble upon another Fen'harel Altar. This one will point to the destroyed section of the wall, so just go around and pick up the spectral object.

This Fen'harel Altar in Dragon Age: The Veilguard is found in the initial area once you arrive at Rivain Coast. It's at the top of the stone fort that's becomes accessible via companion abilities. Interact with it, then head to the nearby beach to pick up the glowing object.

Continue exploring Rivain Coast until you reach a large open area with several rock formations. The wolf altar is on top of one of these rock formations. Once you tag it, you can find the spectral object at the opposite side of this area.

The Converged City is the first landmass that you visit after sailing with the Caretaker in the Crossroads. To the left of the main area, you'll see a sloping path with this wolf statue. Once you activate it, the spectral wolf should appear at the edge of the cliff.

There's another Fen'harel Altar in the Converged City. Here's what you need to do to get it:

• While facing the stone structure in the main area, walk over to the sealed path to your right. You'll receive a quest called Gate of Lost Ages.
• Track this quest and head to Dock Town. There, you must defeat a level 20 Darkspawn Champion named Quyn the Sparkwielder.
• Pick up the Champion Essence and use it to unlock the seal.
• In the Lost Ages area, complete the crystals puzzle and go to the opposite ridge with more enemies. It's also where you'll find a Regrets of the Dread Wolf statuette.
• The larger wolf statue, however, is in an arena-like section with more enemies. Take them out, then climb up the ledges to reach the glowing object.

This Fen'harel Altar in Dragon Age: The Veilguard is found in Elvhenan's Haven, the floating landmass at the eastern part of the Crossroads map. It's also where you can acquire another Regrets of the Dread Wolf statuette.

In any case, the altar is on a lower ledge by the cliffside. You have to make the nearby statues face each other to form a bridge, which will take you to the rock formation with the statuette and the glowing object.

In the Heights of Athim, there's a Fen'harel Altar right beside a ruined hut. The wolf statue will face toward the large gate high up the cliff. You have to activate the zipline to reach the spectral object.

There's also another statue in the Heights of Athim. This one is at the back courtyard of the fortress. The statue will face the opposite side, so make your way to the building to grab the decor.
