Lace Harding is a scout who joins your party very early in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. A member of the now-defunct Inquisition, she wants to aid Varric and company, though a chance encounter causes her to manifest powers. Here's our guide on how to romance Harding in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
How to romance Harding in Dragon Age: The Veilguard
Harding, similar to other companions, requires approval boosts and "heart" responses during conversations, at least if you want to have her fall for your Rook. Oddly enough, certain restrictions make it somewhat hard (pun intended) to romance her as well.

How to increase Harding's approval
Here are some tips for those who want to romance Harding in Dragon Age: The Veilguard:
- Campaign start: Harding and Neve - When disrupting Solas' ritual, you can have Harding help you out. She'll greatly approve of your decision, but she'll have bruises that take a while to heal.
- Quest completion - What makes Harding unique among all companions is that she's the only one who belongs to a faction that you can't join or undertake missions for in-game. As such, your best bet is to bring her along as a party member whenever you're doing quests in various regions.
- Lighthouse interactions - Based on our playthrough, Harding tends to have approval gains in many interactions at the Lighthouse. These include moments when you talk to your entire team.
- Supportive responses - Harding's dilemma is that she gained the power to cast magic spells, something dwarves are unable to do. Given that she's shocked by her newfound abilities, you must try your best to be supportive whenever she talks to you about her qualms.
Harding's personal quests
These are some of Harding's personal quests:
- An Unfamiliar Sense
- The Waiting Stone
- The Bond Rekindled
- The Heart of a Titan
- The Eternal Hymn
Harding's commitment conversation
The option to start a committed relationship with Harding happens in a quest called The Bond Rekindled. This takes place in the Hall of Valor, the base of operations of the Lords of Fortune.
Harding opens up about her worries, especially with the voices in her head telling her about the power coursing through her. You should then reply with: Commitment - "I won't let it take you."
Doing so ensures more trysts with the Inquisition's expert scout. Don't forget that this will lock you out of flirtation options with other companions.
