E3 2017: All The Games From Nintendo's E3 Press Conference Presentation

Nintendo's E3 2017 presentation was full of surprising announcements and exciting games. From details about upcoming release to the return of some of our most beloved franchises, Nintendo gave fans plenty to look forward to beyond 2017.

Though specific details were absent from the Metroid Prime 4 and Pokemon RPG reveal, at least we know these games are in the works. We also got release dates and release windows for Super Mario Odyssey, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and Rocket League. Oh, and did you see how adorable Kirby and Yoshi look in their new games?

Check out what we gathered from Nintendo's presentation for all the games coming to its platforms.

The phenomenal car-powered soccer-like game is coming to Switch during Holiday 2017. Developer Psyonix brought it to PC, PS4, Xbox One previously, and the Switch version will come with all the content of those versions and some exclusive content, including toppers like Mario and Luigi hats, and new cars. Psyonix also said there will be cross-platform play, though this won't work with PS4.

We knew we were getting a sequel to one of the Wii's most notable RPGs back when the Switch was first revealed, but we can now expect Xenoblade Chronicles 2 to come Holiday 2017. The game features the familiar vast environments and massive enemies of the previous games.

The hack-and-slash spinoff of the iconic Fire Emblem franchise is coming to Switch in Fall 2017. The Fire Emblem Warriors trailer showed us a few familiar faces like Chrom from Fire Emblem Awakening; Corrin, Ryoma, and Xander from Fire Emblem Fates; and Marth from Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon.

It's been 10 years since we had a proper Metroid Prime game, but we now know that another one is on the way for Switch! No release date or gameplay footage was shown, so there's reason to believe that Metroid Prime 4 won't be coming any time soon, but at least there's it's in development.

Kirby's next adventure will continue the tradition of cutesy side-scrolling environments and gobbling up enemies to gain their power. In addition, there is four-player co-op. The game simply known as Kirby will release sometime in 2018.

Yoshi is getting another standalone adventure which appeared to be a side-scroller akin to Yoshi's Story and Yoshi's Wooly World. It's set to release sometime in 2018.

Although no trailer or gameplay was shown, Tsunekazu Ishihara, president of Pokemon Company confirmed that Game Freak is working on a new core Pokemon RPG game. However, he stated that it ”may not release for more than a year."

The first piece of downloadable content for Zelda: Breath of the Wild, titled The Master Trials, got a release date: June 30.

The second piece of downloadable content for Zelda: Breath of the Wild, called The Champions Ballad, is said to release sometime this holiday season.

The upcoming turn-based strategy cross-over game Mario and Rabbids was first revealed at Ubisoft's E3 2017 press conference, but we got to see it again during Nintendo's presentation. It seems to share gameplay similarities to XCOM and retains the colorful, lighthearted nature of the Mario universe.

Super Mario Odyssey topped off this year's Nintendo Direct presentation with a wild gameplay montage. Mario was tossing Cappy left, right, and every which way to become and take control of objects and enemies. We saw the game in all sorts of environments from the sprawling New Donk City, to an open field where Mario took control of a dinosaur. We'll be able to experience all this craziness when the game hits the Switch on October 27 this year.

Moments after Nintendo's presentation, Metroid: Samus Returns was revealed as an exclusive 3DS game. It's essentially a re-imagination of Metroid 2 which came out for Game Boy back in 1991.
