    A return to Lumiose City!

Pokemon Legends Z-A made a surprise appearance at the end of the latest Pokemon Presents video, as the debut trailer offered a brief look at the franchise's return to the Kalos region and, more specifically, Lumiose City. Packed within the brief two-minute video are multiple Pokemon, and finding them all requires a keen eye.

We've located 29 Pokemon in the first teaser trailer, and we've listed them all here. As more information comes out about the game leading up to its 2025 release on Nintendo Switch, we will update this gallery with every Pokemon you'll find in Pokemon Legends Z-A.

    Pikachu

    Pikachu

The famous electric mouse is the first Pokemon we see in the trailer, as it appears running through the streets of Lumiose City. This Pikachu serves as a tour guide of sorts, appearing in every scene of the video.

    Pyroar

    Pyroar

The aforementioned pair of Pyroar are sitting in a town square, children in tow. The two can be distinguished by their manes--the male has its mane circling its entire head, while the female's sit on top of its head like a giant mohawk.

    Litleo

    Litleo

Two of these fiery little guys are seen playing, with both the male and female versions of their evolved form, Pyroar, standing watch. As Pikachu runs by, a third Litleo can be seen leaning on his mother's leg.

    Furfrou

    Furfrou

Later, Pikachu runs by an outdoor seating area with people and Pokemon seen at the tables. Furfrou is the most noticeable, as its pink silhouette takes up half of the screen on the left side. Later, another Furfrou wearing a hat can be seen walking with its trainer.

    Flabébé

    Flabébé

Four different Flabébé appear in the outdoor cafe scene with Furfrou. Two float just off of the center of the screen to the right while the other two are seen on the far left.

    Klefki

    Klefki

The final Pokemon appearing in the cafe scene, Klefki can be seen floating just to the left of the person sitting at the table.

    Gyarados

    Gyarados

The scene then shifts to a waterway running through the city, with Pikachu running on a bridge above. As the camera pans out, a massive Gyarados can be seen under the bridge.

    Fletchling

    Fletchling

When the scene first transitions to the bridge, two Fletchlings can be seen on the railing of the bridge. One is already standing on it as the scene appears, while another slowly descends and lands as Pikachu scurries past.

    Dragonair

    Dragonair

In the water below the railing with the Fletchling, a person is seen throwing something into the water. As they do, Dragonair jumps out of the water.

    Hawlucha

    Hawlucha

Behind the person throwing an object in the water is a small green silhouette standing behind them. This is Hawlucha, as noted by its stance and the noticeable luchador mask on its head.

    Staryu

    Staryu

Below the Dragonair, resting in the water, are multiple star-shaped yellow silhouettes. These are Staryu, one of the original 150 Pokemon from the Kanto region, lying in the stream.

    Magikarp

    Magikarp

Magikarp can be seen swimming in the water near the Staryu, with one appearing just to the left of the Gyarados under the bridge. Look for the red silhouette in the water as Emolga flies in.

    Skrelp

    Skrelp

We're still in the water under the bridge for this one, though Skrelp is definitely the easiest to miss. Look for small brown figures moving slowly through the water, and you'll see Skrelp.

    Hippopotas

    Hippopotas

As the camera pans away from the Gyarados under the bridge, Hippopotas is seen walking on the path to its right, while looking up at its companion. Behind it is the previously mentioned Furfrou in a top hat, which appears as a green silhouette.

    Absol

    Absol

Blink and you'll miss the Disaster Pokemon's brief appearance in the bridge scene; just as Hippopotas appears in-frame, Absol and its Trainer can be seen running in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

    Arbok

    Arbok

While Pikachu crosses the bridge horizontally in the center of the screen, a long purple Pokemon slithers by. While it bears a slight resemblance to the Dragonair we saw earlier, it's actually Arbok, as you can see the crest of his neck very briefly.

    Emolga

    Emolga

Finally, just before the camera moves to a different scene, a small yellow Pokemon glides in from the left side of the screen. That's the flying electric squirrel Emolga making a quick appearance.

    Sylveon

    Sylveon

We then see two Pokemon in a heated battle right in the middle of the street, one in purple on the ground and the other in yellow in the air. The grounded purple Pokemon is Sylveon, the Fairy-type evolution of Eevee which debuted in the Kalos region.

    Aegislash

    Aegislash

The yellow Pokemon battling Sylveon, meanwhile, is Aegislash, the final evolution of Honedge. We get a close-up of the Royal Sword Pokemon as it tries to bash Sylveon with its shield.

    Krookodile

    Krookodile

When the battle between Aegislash and Sylveon first appears, a red silhouette can be seen on the right side of the screen. This is a Krookodile, as evidenced by the long tail and back spines.

    Sandile

    Sandile

In front of the Krookodile are three small yellow Pokemon walking in a line. Those are Sandile, Krookodile's pre-evolved form, traveling with what could be their parent.

    Pinsir

    Pinsir

After Aegislash attempts the shield bash on Sylveon, the camera pans to the Fairy-type Pokemon as it prepares a move of its own. Behind it, on the right side of the screen, Pinsir can be seen getting ready to battle a Heracross.

    Heracross

    Heracross

As previously mentioned, Heracross can be seen preparing to battle a Pinsir while Sylveon readies a ring attack and fires it at Aegislash. We don't get to see Heracross nor Pinsir perform an attack, as the scene quickly shifts.

    Talonflame

    Talonflame

Just after Sylveon attacks, Talonflame swoops in from the right side of the screen, and the camera follows it into the sky. The scene eventually ends high above the city, with Prism Tower featured prominently in the background.

    Onix

    Onix

As Talonflame swoops into view, it flies under a gray arch made of round boulder-like objects. This is clearly an Onix, the massive Rock Snake Pokemon from the first generation, sitting on the busy city street.

    Bellsprout

    Bellsprout

To the right of Onix are multiple Bellsprout standing in a group. They appear quickly, but at least three can be seen under the tree as Talonflame zips by.

    Eevee

    Eevee

This is another "blink and you'll miss it" appearance, but Eevee does make a brief cameo as the camera begins to follow Talonflame. Look just in front of Onix, and you'll see the tiny brown figure walking toward the camera.

    Pangoro

    Pangoro

After Onix leaves view, there's a massive form on the right side of the screen under a tree that looks almost like one of the humans in the trailer. On closer inspection, however, this is a Pangoro, the evolved form of Pancham, and not just another person.

    Ariados

    Ariados

The final Pokemon we can identify in the trailer is Ariados, the spider-like Pokemon from the Johto region. Look at the building on the left side of the screen as Talonflame enters the clearing, and you'll see Ariados crawling down the side of it.
