Compared to creator Hideo Kojima's previous games, Death Stranding has quite the star-studded cast. It includes big Hollywood talent like Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux, Guillermo del Toro, and much more. But as we've learned, the game also contains brief cameos from other notable celebrities, artists, and even game developers. You can expect to see folks like Game Awards presenter Geoff Keighley, talk show host Conan O'Brien, and film director Edgar Wright--to name a few.

Below we've detailed every notable celebrity we've encountered in Death Stranding. We've included information about who they are and where they are in the world. Geoff Keighley is a games industry personality and former journalist known primarily for his role as executive producer and host of The Game Awards. In Death Stranding, he appears as the Ludens Fan in the Eastern Region, which is east of the Distribution Center West of Capital Knot City. You can find him as early as Episode 2, though connecting him to the Chiral Network is optional and isn't required to progress the story.

Daichi Miura is a famous singer, songwriter, and dancer in Japan. While he has composed a decade's worth of music, western audiences will probably know him best for performing the Dragon Ball Super: Broly film theme song, "Blizzard." Miura appears as The Musician, who can be found directly southwest of the Distribution Center West of Capital Knot City. Like the Ludens fan, connecting him to the Chiral Network is purely optional.

Hermen Hulst is the current head of PlayStation's Worldwide Studios. Formerly, he served as the managing director of Guerrilla Games, a Dutch games development studio known best for its work on Horizon Zero Dawn and the Killzone franchise. He appears as the Craftsman in the Central Region. You encounter him early on in the story during Episode 3 at a prepper shelter southwest of Lake Knot City.

Most folks will know Edgar Wright for his work on fan-favorite films Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and Baby Driver. He appears in Death Stranding as Thomas Sutherland--the UCA member in charge of the Distribution Center South of Lake Knot City.

Errolson Hugh is a fashion designer behind the high-end Acronym clothing brand. His cameo represents the first time he has appeared in a video game, but not the first time he has been involved with a games-related project. Hugh collaborated with Eidos Montreal in the past to create the jacket worn by Adam Jensen in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. You can find Hugh at the Weather Station, where he appears as UCA medic Alex Weatherstone.

Oh, and apparently Kojima has been a huge fan of Acronym for a while now.

If you've been following Kojima's twitter feed, you might recognize the long-bearded Jordan Vogt-Roberts. He was the director of 2017's Kong: Skull Island, and is currently working to create a live-action Metal Gear Solid film. He appears in Death Stranding as the Film Director in a prepper shelter located in slightly southeast of the Distribution Center South of Lake Knot City.

Hirokazu Hamamura is the former editor-in-chief of popular Japanese gaming magazine, Famitsu. Currently, he's the president and CEO of Enterbrain, a Japanese publisher and brand company of Kadokawa Future Publishing, which produces several magazines revolving around games and entertainment. Hamamura appears as the Collector, an optional prepper and fan of retro games that you can find south of the Distribution Center South of Lake Knot City. His shelter is located at the opening of a cliff face graffitied with Famitsu's Necky the Fox mascot, but you'll need a ladder to reach it.

Famous talk show host Conan O'Brien doesn't need much introduction. This red-headed comedian, writer, podcaster, and producer has contributed his wry wit towards dozens of amusing ventures throughout his nearly four-decade career. He crossed into games in recent years with his Clueless Gamer segments, which seems to have prompted his appearance in Death Stranding. He provides both facial capture and voice acting for the Wandering MC, who you find in a side-delivery to the Cosplayer in the Central Region during Episode 3. Chatting with him unlocks the Otter hood, which enhances your ability to cross through bodies of water.

Sam Lake is a writer who often works with Remedy Entertainment, a studio most known for Max Payne, Alan Wake, and the recently released Control. You might recognize his face since his likeness was used for the titular character of the first Max Payne. Lake appears in Death Stranding as the Veteran Porter, who you have the option of connecting to the Chiral Network. You can find him northwest of the Timefall Farm during Episode 3.

Junji Ito is a famous and influential horror manga artist best known for his terrifying, nightmare-inducing art and writing. If you've never read his work before, then you should read Uzumaki or Tomie right now. It's interesting to note that Ito was going to work with Kojima on Silent Hills during his final years at Konami, but the project was canceled before the collaboration could take place. Ito appears as the Engineer in the Central Region and is one of the many preppers you're required to connect to the Chiral Network.

Asad Qizilbash is the current vice president of PlayStation's global marketing division. He appears as Charles Khan, a UCA member situated at the Waystation North of Mountain Knot City.

Manabu Makime is a famous novelist in Japan. Many of his works have been adapted into movies, TV dramas, and stage plays. His writing style often combines fantastical experiences with the mundanity of everyday life. Makime's likeness is used for the Novelist's Son, who you can find at the most southeastern section of the map.

Tommy Wirkola is another one of the many film directors who appear in Death Stranding. Most folks will know Wirkola for his films, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters and What Happened to Monday. In Death Stranding, he's Phillip North, a UCA medic stationed at the Distribution Center North of Mountain Knot City.
