Final Fantasy 16 releases exclusively for PS5 tomorrow, June 22. If you haven't preordered your copy yet, it's your last chance to secure preorder bonuses. Ordering early will get you multiple in-game bonuses. Retailer-specific preorder bonuses were also up for grabs. Unfortunately, most of them are sold out by now for the standard edition. However, you can still get a free $10 gift card with the Deluxe edition at Target. At GameStop, you can get 30 percent off Final Fantasy XVI T-shirts when preordering a copy of the game.
- Preorder at GameStop (free patch)
- Preorder at Best Buy (steelbook is sold out)
- Preorder at Target (sold out)
- Preorder at Amazon (won't arrive until July 10)
- Preorder at Walmart (only available in store)
If you don't currently have a PS5 but are a huge Final Fantasy fan, a new PS5 bundle releases alongside the game. The $560 bundle comes with the standard PS5 and a voucher for a digital copy of Final Fantasy XVI. You're saving $10 overall versus buying the PS5 and game separately.
Final Fantasy XVI Preorder Bonuses
Preorder bonuses are a bit confusing for Final Fantasy XVI. Three different in-game items are available, but whether you get them depends both on where you preorder the game and which version you opt for. Just about every retailer is offering the Cat Sith Charm (which boosts the rate at which you gain Gil) along with the Braveheart weapon, but the Scholar’s Spectacles item (which boosts XP gain) is only available with the following editions:
- Collector’s Edition (sold out)
- Deluxe Edition (Digital)
- Standard Edition (Digital)
In other words, you’ll want to pay close attention to the fine print when preordering FFXVI to ensure you’re getting the best bonuses at your preferred retailer.
