Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has a card game, and it's going to take over your life. This minigame, Queen's Blood, has numerous opponents that you can face. However, there are a few specific individuals that you need to defeat if you want to progress through its own narrative arc. Here's our Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Queen's Blood opponents guide to help you rise through the ranks. Likewise, please be reminded that this article contains minor spoilers.
All Queen's Blood rank-up opponents in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
To increase Queen's Blood rank in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you need to win 30 specific matches. The opponents that you must face are denoted by an ornate icon with a number. If ever you're having trouble facing these players, you can refer to our best cards guide to aid you with deckbuilding.
The Queen's Blood card game also has a narrative arc that involves its creator, Lidrehl, who seems to have been driven mad. Whenever you beat a Keeper of the Cruor, you also experience these visions, leading you to a climactic confrontation.
Lastly, note that our guide includes the earliest chapters when you'll be able to face these players. However, you can still battle them much later in the campaign in case you missed them the first time around.
Blood Servant: Ned, Nene, and Zahira
- Chapter 2: A New Journey Begins
- Location: Kalm - All three opponents are found in the town. This basically serves as your tutorial to the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Queen's Blood ranking mechanics.
Blood Acolyte: Isabelle, Zogan, and the Moore Twins
- Chapter 4: Dawn of a New Era
- Location: Under Junon - Again, these opponents are found in the same settlement. It's worth noting that you have to defeat both Moore Twins (Devin and Darren) to increase your overall tally.
Blood Squire - Michaela, Neil, and Cameron (Keeper of the Cruor)
- Chapter 4: Dawn of a New Era
- Location: Crow's Nest - You must first complete the When Words Won't Do side quest from Rhonda in Under Junon. This takes you to the Crow's Nest settlement in the eastern part of the region. This is where you can find these three players. Note that Cameron is a Keeper of the Cruor. You get to watch a cutscene that involves Lidrehl.
Blood Acolyte - Biff and Rolf
- Chapter 7: Those Left Behind
- Location: Corel Town - There are only two opponents that you can face in Corel Town during this chapter. Heck, one of them is a dog, too. One fella, Navalan, requires a higher rank before you can battle him.
Blood Knight - Pietro, Mary, and Dax
- Chapter 8: All That Glitters
- Location: Dustbowl - There are three opponents in the Dustbowl (i.e. Corel Prison). They're also part of a side quest that rewards Chocobo Feed.
Blood Knight - Navalan
- Chapter 9: The Planet Stirs
- Location: Corel Town - Now you can face Navalan in Corel Town. This also leads to another Queen's Blood rank-up in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
Blood Knight 2nd Class - Zhijun and Oscar
- Chapter 9: The Planet Stirs
- Location: Gongaga - One opponent here is a Chocobo (which did make us chuckle). Note that you'd probably see Regina, a player that you faced during the Queen's Blood tournament aboard the Shinra-8 ship. You can't battle her yet during this chapter.
Blood Knight 2nd Class and Blood Captain - Robin, Ka'dina, and Bernard
- Chapter 10: Watcher of the Vale
- Location: Cosmo Canyon - You need to defeat any of these three players to become a Blood Captain. You can then beat the remaining two, which leaves you at 20/21.
Blood Captain - Wize 3.0 Version 2.0
- Chapter 10: Watcher of the Vale
- Location: Dustbowl - Wize 3.0, another player from the QB Tournament, is back. Beating him lets you rank-up.
Blood Tactician - Regina
- Chapter 10: Watcher of the Vale
- Location: Gongaga - At this point, we suggest going back to Gongaga to have a match against Regina. If you proceed onward to the next region, you might have to go through the entirety of the story arc in that zone.
Blood Tactician - Turner and Dale
- Chapter 11: The Long Shadow of Shinra
- Location: Nibelheim - Since you managed to beat Regina earlier, you don't have to worry about temporary fast travel restrictions. Just head over to Nibelheim to take care of these two foes.
Blood Marquis - Lidrehl
- Chapter 11: The Long Shadow of Shinra
- Location: Gold Saucer (Haunted Hotel) - Yes, you're going to face the ghost of Lidrehl, the creator of the Queen's Blood card game. We suggest battling him during Chapter 11. That's because there's a series of events that happen at the start of Chapter 12, and you don't really want to revisit Gold Saucer too early due to the romance and relationships mechanic.
Blood Marquis - Maahir, Riana, and Dokaccha
- Chapter 12: A Golden Key
- Location: Costa del Sol - After beating these three Queen's Blood opponents in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you should have a 28/30 tally. That only leaves two more foes.
Blood Sovereign, Blood Executioner, and Blood Champion
Well, we don't really want to spoil the names of the last two players. Let's just say the whole thing is tied to the narrative arc involving the creation of the game and the mystery surrounding it:
- Once you beat opponent #29, you go from Blood Sovereign to Blood Executioner.
- Upon defeating opponent #30, you become the Blood Champion.
In any case, that does it for our Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Queen's Blood ranks guide. We continue discussing the last steps in our guides for the Emerald Witch card and the Shadowblood Queen card.
