Final Fantasy X Magic: The Gathering Set Is Up For Preorder

Magic The Gathering is crossing over with Final Fantasy, bringing hundreds of new cards and gameplay mechanics based on the beloved RPG series to the long-running trading card game. The Magic: The Gathering Final Fantasy set launches June 13, and preorders are available now at Amazon and Best Buy for the various decks, bundles, and boosters ahead of release.

All 16 mainline Final Fantasy games are represented in the set, but the collection is kicking off with four commander format decks based on some of the most popular games and characters in the franchise, including Terra from Final Fantasy VI, Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII, Tidus from Final Fantasy X, Y'shtola from Final Fantasy XIV. These 100-card decks are ready to play right out of the box and include a bonus mini booster sample pack. You can preorder them for $70 each, or in a four-deck bundle for $280. For a more affordable entry point, there's the Magic: The Gathering Final Fantasy Starter Set, which includes two ready-to-play 60-card decks themed around Cloud and Sephiroth.

If you're looking to collect more of the set and build your own custom decks, there are also multiplebundle sets and large booster boxes available for preorder that get you dozens, or even hundreds, of cards.

All of these Magic: The Gathering Final Fantasy decks and boosters are available for preorder now at Best Buy and Amazon, and we've rounded them all up below. Preorders for standard Magic sets often sell out quickly, and given the popularity of Final Fantasy, we expect these decks and boosters to go in an out of stock, so be sure to check both retailers frequently.
