There Is So Much To Unlock In Fortnite Chapter 2's Battle Pass
After a brief hiatus of being stuck in a black hole, Fortnite came back strong with the introduction of Fortnite: Chapter 2. It's a massive update for the most notable battle royale game out now for PC, Xbox One, Switch, PS4, and mobile devices--it comes with a wave of new content which includes a brand-new map, new gameplay mechanics, and a bunch of extra content to unlock. Chapter 2 also kicks off with Season 1 and an all-new Battle Pass, which can be purchased with 950 V-bucks (roughly $10 USD). Within the Battle Pass are 100 levels, all of which reward you character skins, weapon skins, emotes, back bling, V-bucks, and more--you can actually earn up to 1,500 V-bucks within the Battle Pass, which covers more than the cost to buy it. There are a total of 86 new pieces of content, and we've compiled them all here for your viewing pleasure and to see if the Battle Pass is worth investing in.
The way in which you unlock Battle Pass levels has changed a bit, too. You can still level up by finishing weekly challenges, but now you have other means of doing so. You can earn season XP and new medals by completing in-game activities like eliminating enemies, opening chests, gathering materials, survival time in matches, among other achievements. And medals have tiers in which you can do more of that particular activity and still be rewarded. You'll also be able to level up beyond 100 in the Battle Pass, though it's unclear what that entails and if there are rewards associated with it. Fortnite: Chapter 2, Season 1 will run up until December 12 according to developer Epic Games.
