The more you play Farkle in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the more you realize that this activity that involves dice needs to have its own spinoff. We digress, but the point is that there are several mechanics in play that make the whole thing quite engaging. Of course, you could also look for special items that have nifty effects. Here's our guide on where to get unique dice and badges in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
How to get badges and unique dice in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 - Farkle unique items guide
We've discussed the basic mechanics, such as the scoring system and other tips, in our Farkle guide, so be sure to check that out. As for the badges and unique dice themselves, you can find them as you explore the vast game world. Before we continue, though, here are a few caveats to remember:
- Unique dice can always be selected regardless of the match type.
- Badges can only be selected if the option is available. This usually depends on the type of opponent that you're facing.
- Badges have tier levels--i.e. tin, silver, and gold. The higher the tier, the better the effects.
- You can activate a badge's effect by pressing the corresponding button prompt at the right-hand side of the screen whenever you're playing dice games.
Buying dice and badges from merchants
You can find unique dice and badges in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 by chatting with merchants. In many cases, these items are sold by tavern owners in villages. However, they cost a pretty penny, so don't bother buying them unless you have the Groschen (i.e. gold) to spare.
Unique dice from Troskowitz: Holy Trinity Dice
The village of Troskowitz is the first settlement that you visit when you start the campaign. One point of interest is quite important. It's the carpenter's house just across the street from the tavern/inn. If you check the yard, you'll notice that there's a log pile that you can mantle on to reach the room on the second floor.
When it's nighttime and people are asleep, enter the house without getting spotted. Then, sneak and steal from the carpenter and his son. One of the chests in this house has several unique dice, including the Holy Trinity Dice. It has a higher chance of rolling 3s. If you have 3 or more of these, you could usually get the points you need for a triple combination.
Gold Wedding Badge
The Gold Wedding Badge in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be yours as part of the Wedding Crashers main quest. You need to complete the following steps:
- Talk to the bailiff, who'll mention that he has a special badge. You then need to defeat Radovan the Blacksmith, Emmerich the Apothecary, and Ulrich the Chamberlain in matches.
- You can challenge Ulrich as soon as you can.
- Emmerich will tell you that he no longer has a badge, so that's that.
- As for Radovich, you must first find the lost sword in the vicinity. Later, you can challenge him to a match.
- Once you're done with those bouts, talk to the bailiff and win the subsequent match. He shockingly tells you that he actually lost his badge to someone else, none other than Innkeeper Betty.
- The innkeeper is also a guest at the wedding, but she'll only agree to a game if you wager 200 Groschen. At this stage of the campaign, you probably don't want to lose that much money, so you could make a manual save just to be careful.
- Defeat Innkeeper Betty to receive your reward.
Be sure to do the above before you talk to the bride once the newlyweds have made their vows. Chatting with the bride about her problems triggers a cutscene, which ends this portion of the campaign.
Gold Wedding Badge effect: Allows you to reroll up to three dice; can only be used once per match.
Gold Emperor's Badge
You can get this Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 badge in Trosky Castle. Specifically, it's in the underground tunnel that you can access from the dungeon beneath the kitchen
The dungeon is a restricted area, and there's usually a guard that's stationed here. There are, however, a few instances when you'd have access:
- Necessary Evil - Before you enter the prisoner's cell/torture chamber.
- For Victory - During the feast but before you go to bed or sleep with a romantic interest.
- Storm - Part of your escape from the castle.
Upon entering the dungeon, check one of the cells to find a staircase that leads further down. Then, continue along the tunnel until you reach a pool of water beneath the well (there's a bucket dangling from a rope). You should then see a gleaming accessory on a nearby rock.
Gold Emperor's Badge effect: Gain triple the points from 1+1+1 dice combinations.
