How Does The PS5's Size Compare To Older Models?
The launch of Sony's PlayStation 5 draws near. With only a couple of weeks left until the next-gen console arrives to store shelves and online retailers, the excitement couldn't be any more real than it is now. To give you a better sense of what to expect, Sony sent us a PS5 to test and play so you know exactly what you'll be buying into come November 12. One way we're here to help you is to show you how big the PS5 is, so you'll get a better sense of what you'll be introducing into your entertainment center.
In this particular feature, we've put Sony's next-gen console next to previous PlayStation models to more accurately display how big it is. The standard model PS5's dimensions are 15.4 inches (length) × 10.2 inches (width) × 4.1 inches (height), while the digital version's dimensions run identical, but with a slight difference in height at 3.6 inches. If you'd like even see more angles from our console comparison, watch the video version of this feature in the player above. Note the console we recieved during our preview phase is the standard model.
For more PS5 coverage, be sure to check out our impressions of the console's form factor. We also noticed a clever Easter egg found on the PS5's DualSense controller during our time testing the console, which should please longtime Sony fans.
