Leon's Matilda (starting weapon)
High Capacity Magazine: West Office, Police Station 1st Floor
In the West Office, you'll find the location for Leon's cancelled welcome party. After reading the note on his desk, just below the large "Welcome, Leon" sign, you'll get the clue to unlock Leon's desk. There are two locks on each side of his desk, and the pass codes to unlock them are tied to the row of desks next to each lock. Look for the name plates for every desk and enter the first initials into the lock on their respective sides to open the two locks. Once unlocked, you'll find the High Capacity Magazine for the Matilda. This part will upgrade the magazine size to 24 rounds.
Gun Stock: Parking Garage, Police Station Basement
Head to the Firing Range east of the Parking Garage in B1 of R.P.D.. Once inside you'll find a small lock box and note on a desk. Inside the box is a worn key. Head back to the parking garage and examine the item to find a button. Once you activate the button, you'll open the trunk of one of the cars to the south wall of the garage and find the Gun Stock. This part allows the Matilda to fire three rounds per pull of the trigger.
Claire's SLS 60 (starting weapon)
Speed Loader: West Office, Police Station 1st Floor
In the West Office, you'll find the location for Leon's cancelled welcome party. After reading the note on his desk, just below the large "Welcome, Leon" sign, you'll get the clue to unlock Leon's desk. There are two locks on each side of his desk, and the pass codes to unlock them are tied to the row of desks next to each lock. Look for the name plates for every desk and enter the first initials into the lock on their respective sides to open the two locks. Once unlocked, you'll find the Speed Loader for the SLS 60. This part will reduce weapon reload time.
Reinforced Frame: Treatment Pool Room, Sewers Upper Level

In the staircase leading down into the lower levels of the Underground Facility, shortly after opening the secret passage in the main hall, you'll find a peculiar lock box housing a weapon upgrade. At this point in the game, you more than likely have possession of the item needed to open it. The S.T.A.R.S. Police Badge, found in the jewelry box located in the Interrogation Room on the 1st floor, is a key item that also doubles as a USB key, granting you access to the S.T.A.R.S. office armory to acquire the Lightning Hawk. However, the badge itself also works as the key to the lock box in the stairway. Backtrack to get the key if you don't have it in your possession and use it on the box to open it and get the Long Barrel. The Long Barrel upgrade will reduce recoil and increase attack power for the weapon.
Red-Dot Sight: S.T.A.R.S. Office, Police Station 2nd Floor West Wing

Once you have developed the film in the Dark Room in the first floor west wing of the R.P.D., you can head back to the S.T.A.R.S. office to find the upgrade in Wesker's desk.
