Our Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Ashes of War guide is organized based on power-up locations in each region. We've also numbered them accordingly.

These are the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Ashes of War found in the Gravesite Plain region, where all Tarnished first arrive upon starting the DLC.

From the Three-Path Cross Site of Grace, go a short distance to the north and hang a left past the spectral graves.

In Belurat Tower Settlement, make your way to the rundown area past the Small Private Altar. Follow the street that leads you to the town square/fountain, whereupon you'll get attacked by Fire Knight Queelign. The Ash of War is behind the fountain itself.

In relation to the above, this particular Ash of War is dropped by Fire Knight Queelign once you defeat him. Note that we only obtained this a bit later in the DLC's campaign. We can't confirm if Queelign spawns in Belurat early in your playthrough or if you need to progress further.

From the Castle Front Site of Grace, head north through the ravine until you reach Fog Rift Catacombs. Proceed deeper into the dungeon until you arrive at a spacious chamber with (a) a giant spike trap that periodically falls from the ceiling, and (b) a sorcerer that snipes you with spells from the back of the room.

Upon reaching the opposite end of this chamber and defeating the enemy mobs, jump on the railings of the dais to "force" the spike trap to drop down. You'll notice a small nook that you can hop on. This will take you up to a higher ledge that has a chest.

These are the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Ashes of War found in the Scadu Altus and Rauh Base regions.

Proceed further into Castle Ensis until you reach the Castle-Lord's Chamber Site of Grace (i.e. the one before the Rellana boss fight). Check outside the balcony and you'll spot some ledges that lead to a nearby tower. You'll find this Ash of War at the top.

Defeat Black Knight Edredd in the Fort of Reprimand.

While exploring Rauh Base, go through the underside of the great bridge where many demihumans lie in wait to ambush you. Keep your eyes peeled for a Dung Beetle that's stuck to a pillar. Kill it to receive this reward.

You need to make a long trek through underground passageways and rivers if you want to reach the southern part of the map.

Defeat the Death Rite Bird overworld boss in Charo's Hidden Grave.

There are a couple of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Ashes of War in the foreboding fortress known as Shadow Keep. Note the star icon, which denotes an Ash of War that can only be obtained as part of a quest line.

Upon reaching the Specimen Storehouse facility in Shadow Keep, enter the corridor to your left and go down the elevator. You'll find this reward on a balcony overlooking some nasty Living Jar mobs.

Proceed normally through the Specimen Storehouse facility until you gain access to the northwest tower. Defeat the Fire Sorceress here to obtain the Flame Spear Ash of War and the Winged Serpent Helm.

To obtain this weapon skill, you must progress further into the Hornsent quest line. At the Shadow Keep ramparts, you have to choose which NPC to assist: Hornsent or Leda. Side with Hornsent here and defeat Leda to receive this reward.

If you proceed through the corridors and bridges from where you found the aforementioned Wall of Sparks Ash of War, you'll eventually arrive at the Ancient Ruins of Rauh. It's like a massive overworld dungeon that you can explore while mounted.

Make your way through the first temple complex (i.e. the one with several specters and scorpions). Once you emerge back outside, you'll spot a paladin-type foe and a Miquella's Cross. Check the temple's outer walls along the cliffside section to find this item.
