With many months to go before it hits theaters, we've now learned a lot about the upcoming Episode 9 of the Star Wars franchise. For instance, it actually has a title now. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker arrives in theaters in December, but at the Star Wars Celebration convention in Chicago, fans were given their first taste.
In addition to the title reveal, the first teaser trailer for the film was debuted--which posed a lot of questions--and plenty of information was shared by director JJ Abrams, including that we'll see a time jump at the start of the film. In addition to all of that, though, fans in attendance at Celebration were shows a slew of images from the film's production, giving first looks at a variety of characters and alien species they'll see in The Rise of Skywalker.
GameSpot's Mat Elfring is on the scene at Celebration and managed to document what was shown during the panel.
