The recently concluded Steam Next Fest for February 2025 offered PC gamers an early look at some of the upcoming titles that are arriving soon. Now, Steam has shared the most popular demos from the event, and some of the games that made the cut are both surprising and intriguing.
There were a handful of titles we weren't shocked to see, including Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, Among Us 3D, Dune: Awakening, and PUBG: Blindspot. It helps to have brand recognition, although the vast majority of titles feature new IP like Mecha Break.
RPGs and action appear to be the favorite genres among this lineup, although casual and simulation games are well-represented as well. There are only a handful of horror titles, two of which--RailGods of Hysterra and Do No Harm--incorporate elements of H.P. Lovecraft's famous otherworldly creatures.
Two different zombie games on this list had very similar titles--Darkest Days and Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days. The former is a free-to-play open-world zombie RPG, while the latter veers more towards psychological horror and strategy.
You can find the complete list of the most popular demos from Steam Next Fest Winter 2025 below, most of which are still available to play now. Some of the titles are also available on Fanatical for a discounted price ahead of their launch.
