Stellar Blade takes you on an adventure across regions in keeping with a post-apocalyptic, sci-fi theme. However, there's one place that you could completely miss out on if you don't meet the requirements. Here's our guide on how to unlock a secret level called Eidos 9 in Stellar Blade. Likewise, please be reminded that this article contains major spoilers.
How to unlock Eidos 9 in Stellar Blade
The Eidos 9 secret level is tied to your overall progress with Lily and affects the campaign's culmination. Our Stellar Blade Eidos 9 guide discusses how you can access this secret level and what you can expect while you're exploring it.
Eidos 9 unlock requirement and point of no return
It's extremely crucial that you're aware of the first point of no return in the campaign. Basically, after you complete the objectives in the Great Desert - Abyss Levoire, you can talk to Adam to travel to your next destination. If you want to unlock Eidos 9 in Stellar Blade, then you must make sure that Lily's progress meter is at 100 percent when you make the decision to head to Spire 4/Orbit Elevator. Here's a quick summary:
- Lily's progress bar appears in the upper-right corner of the screen whenever you obtain data slates, documents, and other collectibles.
- If Lily's progress bar is below 100 percent by the time you make the aforementioned decision, the trio will head to Spire 4/Orbit Elevator directly.
- However, if Lily's progress bar is at 100 percent, then she'll ask if the team could travel to Eidos 9 so she could go to her atelier.
- Be sure you've completed all NPC quests and obtained all collectibles in Xion, as you won't be able to explore the city's interior from this point onward. We suggest acquiring all Can collectibles in the area, as well as getting the Sky Ace outfit.
Important: Unlocking the Eidos 9 level affects whether or not you get a particular ending at the conclusion of the campaign. You can learn more about these details in our (spoiler-filled) endings guide.
Does this mean you have to obtain all collectibles first just to reach 100 percent with Lily?
No, far from it. Lily reaching 100 percent simply means that you've collected enough data about the world. You could miss out on some data slates and documents, and you should still be fine. Pay attention to the meter when it appears in the screen's upper-right corner.
Eidos 9 objectives: Cocoons
Upon arriving at Eidos 9, you're told about your main objective: You have to destroy the Naytiba Cocoons. These are tentacle-like creatures that are often surrounded by other monsters. The first area has three, and the second area has six. There are also other locations that you can explore while you're in this region.
Roller coaster traversal and water hazards
You'll still go about normally while in Eidos 9. However, you'll also be able to make use of roller coaster rails to get around. These allow you to reach other places at high speeds. Just make sure Eve doesn't fall off.
The hazard that you need to watch out for (aside from Naytibas) is the water. It's contaminated, which means Eve will die if she's submerged for around five seconds. Still, you could try to swim to islands that have rewards and loot, assuming that they're close enough.
Eve outfit: Planet Diving Suit (6th)
You can obtain a few goodies while exploring the Stellar Blade Eidos 9 secret level, including three nano suits for Eve. The first can be found in the apartment district.
While battling Cocoons, look around for a partly submerged landmass with cars. Just across from that spot is a building with marble pillars. You should be able to swim across without dying (as long as you're fast enough). Then, take a look at the left-hand side of the marble building to find yellow-painted indentations. Climb up the roof and enter the room to find the reward.
Eve outfit: Punk Top
Another outfit can be yours when you reach the industrial district. Upon exiting the parking tower, jump on the freeway and look at the side of the building. You should see a metal walkway above the "Sunset" sign. Follow this path since it leads to a crate with a new attire.
Eve outfit: Motivation
Last but not least, there's the Motivation nano suit for Eve. To get it, you have to clear out all the Cocoon clusters in the first and second areas. Lily will tell you that it's time to head to her atelier.
Ride the roller coaster's rails until you see a submerged building with a visible rooftop. Open the chest here to receive the reward.
Lily's Atelier
Eventually, you'll find yourself in Lily's Atelier, where she made her home prior to meeting with Eve. Watch the cutscene here and talk to Adam when you're ready to leave. You'll travel directly to Spire 4/Orbit Elevator, the campaign's main objective.
Note that the wording of the statements might seem that you won't be able to return, but that's not the case. You'll be able to revisit Eidos 9 and all other regions (barring the interior of Xion) after completing your tasks in Spire 4.
That does it for our Stellar Blade Eidos 9 secret level guide. While there are three rewards for Eve in this area, there are a lot more to find. You can learn about these in our Eve outfits and nano suits guide.
