Game Dev Tycoon Review

This is not going to be a professional review. Know that before you continue reading!

Game Dev Tycoon. My first true venture into simulation games. And boy was it a good pick. This game is a fantastic representation of what it means to create video games throughout history. You start in a garage in the 1980's developing games for things like the TES and the G64 (NES and the Commodore 64). Also, you'll notice that the names of the consoles are not the actual names. They are parody names, and the same goes for the companies. Anyways, on to the gameplay. Upon creating a new save you are given a character creation screen. Here you pick the way your character looks, his/her name, and the name of your company. If you click the small gear in the top right corner you are also greeted with a menu that lets you pick one of three game length options (30, 35, and 42 years). This only affects how quickly events happen within the game. When you finish with that menu, it plops you right into the garage with nothing but a few hints. So you create your first game by clicking anywhere on the screen and then clicking "Create new game" on the menu that pops up. Then you must create a title for the game, the genre of the game, and the type of game you want to make. (Jedi is tired, and will continue the review another time)
