Welcome to GameSpot's 2015 Game of the Year Awards. Join us throughout the month of December as we recap the biggest news of the year, unveil our picks for the biggest games of the year, look forward to 2016, and more!
Starting December 17, we'll begin revealing our picks for the 25 best games of 2015 (beginning at 25, counting all the way down to our Game of the Year). It's a varied and eclectic list, spanning everything from the year's biggest AAA releases to smaller, personal game play experiences, and everything in between. It also represents a significant change from past, in which we awarded platform winners and crowned one game as the year's best. Of course, we're still having awards for each major platform, but this time around we're selecting the five best titles for each major platform. While we won't pick any overall platform winners, you'll be able to vote on your picks for the People's Choice awards.
As always, our choices are 100% completely subjective. There will be a lot of our choices that you'll agree with, and maybe even more that you won't. After all, disagreements are half the fun with a list like this! We look forward to seeing what you think in the comments (and our People's Choice voting) as the weeks progress.
