Not as bad as everyone makes it out to be.

User Rating: 7 | Game Party WII
The Wii is a great thing to have at a party, and there are very few titles to consider a great party game. Mario Party 8 is fun, but has too much luck involved, and Wii Play is very mediocre. So when I bought this game, I did not know how much fun it could be, especially after seeing all the negative critique for this game. But you know what? It's a lot better than I expected.

There are 7 games in this collection, so I am going to go over them all, from best to worst.

Darts. This is easily the best game in this entire collection, and it's the one I played the most. You press A to lock on where you want to throw it and flick the Wii remote to throw the dart. There are different modes of darts to play, like 301, 501, 701, cricket, and a different game of darts called baseball.

Air Hockey. This game is also fun to play, and I found it better than Wii Play's Laser Hockey(I did enjoy that). To move the paddle you move the Wiimote up and down all around while pointing at the screen. The game also has an arm which means the game has more skill.

Shuffleboard. The controls were okay. I couldn't find the perfect way to control the puck, so it's a bit difficult. If you get enough tickets you can get curling, but it will take a lot of time. I didn't, so I don't know if it's worth it.

Basketball. The controls were frustrating but easy to use. To throw a basket you simulate the motion of throwing a ball. It sounds easy on paper but the hoop is so small. I soon realized that less is more when you throw it, and consistency is key.

Skill Ball. Now we are reaching the bottom of the barrel of the fun games on the disc. I like skill ball, but this version...not so much. The controls worked....meh, and the physics were all over the place.

Trivia. This is like a lite version of Smarty Pants. You spin a wheel to determine what category you get, and you answer questions. You get 10 seconds for each question. If you don't answer the question you won't get any points deducted, but if you answer a question incorrectly, you won't lose points either. You can unlock a lightning round which WILL take points from you if you answer a question wrong. The controls work perfectly(though that's not saying much), but the game feels shallow.

Last and definently least, is Ping Cup. The idea of the game is to bounce a ball into a cup. It sounds easy on paper but the controls are so awful, it's hard to do. This is my least favorite game.

THE VERDICT!
I have to give Midway credit for making this. It's a lot better than people make it out to be. Some people even consider it to be one of the worst games of all time. Well, guess what. There are worse games than this.

Now before I get any hate for this review, let me point this out. Am I saying this is a great game? NO. But it does do a great job of portraying a simple, easy to control party game, and that's all it wanted to be.

The game is $20, and I say it's worth it. If you are looking for a game for your next drinking party, you won't be dissapointed.

Final Score-
7- Good.
