A Shooting Game Unlike Any That Has Come Before It!

In looking for a video game to start 2025 off right; I wanted to play a game that was somewhat unique, obscure, and overlooked. In this game, I not only found all of those things, but also a gem of a game that was actually released in an EARLIER version! First, it was released in Arcades in 1995 (only in Japan), than it was released for the Sega Saturn in 1997 (also only in Japan). Come ON, Sega! Your console was ALREADY struggling enough in the United States as it WAS; you DIDN'T need to NOT port video games that would've been appreciated in America! But at long last, this overlooked gem finally made it to the States in 2017; so, better late than never! What's unique about this shooting game, is that it combines six video game character icons from six of the Tengoku's company video games, two video game character icons from Jaleco's company video games, and one from the video game "Tatsujin". Not only that, using any one of the player character icons, you must blast your way through six stages of mixed-up arcade graphics and enemies, from video games going all the way back to 1983 to 1995, that celebrates the Tengoku (and Jaleco) video game line! I'm pretty sure that one of the reasons WHY this game didn't get ported to the states UNTIL 2017, was the fact that for some reason; whenever you use your bomb item, it's ALWAYS depicted as a scantily-clad female who's age is HIGHLY questionable...but that could've EASILY been fixed had it been ported to the states EARLIER! It's not so much that the enemies and the bosses are that tough to beat; the difficulty is in the fact that there are usually a LOT of enemies flying around blasting at you, EVEN on the EASIEST difficulty level; and you have a limited amount of bombs that can clear the screen of their fire-power! But the very good (1995) graphics, music, sound, and controls more than make up for the difficulty in this game. If you want to play a very unique video game shooter; give this game a try. You might be pleasantly surprised! Enough said, true believers!
