If you own a DS and enjoy a bit of strategy then Anno 1701 is a must buy.
Anno 1701 is the type of game that is easily overlooked on the store shelf. It has been on my radar for some time, but then I am a bit of gaming news junkie and I always have a eye for a quality game. The bland box and t... Read Full Review

Due to previous disappointments with DS sims, I was incredibly wary going through with this purchase.
Most of the DS sim games that I've played thus far have been very sub par thus far. In short, those developers should have payed me to play some of those games. Why? Because they were so incredibly boring that I could... Read Full Review

Since I am 42 years old, I don't play a lot of the same games my kids do (e.g., Mario Bros.). I like games that make you think like Advance Wars, ChessMaster, Brain Age and Professor Layton. This game involves strat... Read Full Review

Anno 1701 is a well done, but micromanagement-heavy, hybrid of Civilization and SimCity.
I think many of us are holding our breaths for the upcoming Civilization Revolutions for DS. However, there hasn't been many meaty real-time strategy games of that genre on the system yet. Anno 1701 fills that gap nicely... Read Full Review

For RTS fans with a DS, 1701 AD is a must have. Not a kid's game.
A very faithful port of the otherwise lackluster 1701 AD for the PC, on the DS this game truly shines. A game that is relatively underpowered in the RTS genre for the computer market works perfectly with the stylus-drive... Read Full Review

If strategy and thinking are your strengths, and settling islands is your thing, than this is the game for you
Anno 1701 on DS is a game that starts off hearing that the king has died, and his last wish was for you to discover the new world. You start this by starting your boat and finding an island that you wish to settle. The c... Read Full Review
