Splitting bosses in half
You must have Zangetsu forms unlocked before this is possible due to 'Ultimate Zangetsu'.
When a boss is about to perform its final attack after beating it (Dragon's charge into a wall, the train's crashing into the platform), it is possible to split the boss in half with a charged slash with Zangetsu. Doing so in Veteran will get you a lot of points towards a 1-Up.Contributed by: Shion_Akiba
