8-bit gaming at its finest (and hardest)
Castlevania 3 is, without a doubt, the best of the NES Castlevania games. Its multiple pathways and multiple characters allow for a lot of variety and replayability, and its boss battles are pretty good by NES standards.... Read Full Review

The way a sequel should be made. Retained all the fun aspects of previous versions with numerous creative innovations.
If only other sequels follwed the example of this game. While retaining the core of the original, the gameplay, difficult challenge, atmosphere, the game innovates with the ability to play as a thief, a vampire, or a wiz... Read Full Review

Castlevania, the masochist edition
Castlevania Dracula's Curse is the third and final Castlevania on the NES. The graphics are a bit better this time, but it still looks like a 8-bit game. The gameplay is old school action platforming as you progress fro... Read Full Review

I'm biased; it's my favorite NES Castlevania game
I got this game for the NES through a bet: back when I was 10, my parents were watching a movie late at night we all had seen before. My sister and I go to the family room, and my parents ask the title of the movie, as t... Read Full Review

Classic, old-school Casltevania fun
If one were to create an evolutionary line of the Castlevania series, Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse would the missing link. It refines the game play of the first two but lacks the depth and complexity of the latest ga... Read Full Review

Slow and steady gets your ass kicked.
Well it's been awhile since I've done a Wii Virtual Console review. So my first 2009 old game review is for… Castlevania 3 : The second good Castlevania game on the NES. Story : One gets the impression that Konami... Read Full Review

Prettiest among the classic Castlevania games on the NES, and perhaps also the hardest.
First Castlevania on the NES was a platformer, while the second, called Simon's Quest, was a non-linear adventure game similar to Metroid or Zelda. Castlevania 3 returns to its platforming roots and it's a success, but a... Read Full Review

After an eternity's wait one of the best Castlevanias of all-time is re-released for the Wii Virtual Console.
Way back in 1990, Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse came out for the NES and pushed the boundaries of that platform's capabilities. Some of the best graphics, music, sound, and control were found in this gem; easily the b... Read Full Review

This is the best game period. However I suppose that simply me saying that probably isn't enough for most people. So Style wise this game is like the first one which after playing number two is a welcomed thing. Thi... Read Full Review
