If you want a well-done rogue-alike dungeon crawler, this is your game. If you want a story-driven RPG, this isn't it.
Wave after wave of Japanese-style RPGs continue to crash on our shores. The DS gets the most, but the PSP is no slacker: we've had Mana Khemia, Star Ocean, and Crimson Gem Saga to name just a few in the last year. Class ... Read Full Review

What Gamespot Users have to say about Class of Heroes

Some aspects of the game are poorly implemented.
I would get straight to the point. Instead of saying what this game is like I would present out its flaws. First, is the combat system. You encounter monsters by groups. But instead of having the option to specificall... Read Full Review

Class of Heroes would have been a great game if not for the extreme difficulty.
Class of Heroes is an unusual game for the PSP - a first-person dungeon crawler. However, for what it's intended to be, it is a great return to retro... if you can bear the extreme difficulty anyway. Developed by Acqui... Read Full Review

Disappointingly merdiocre
I was expecting much from this game - the PSP needed a good "old-school style" dungeon crawler, and this game was offering the same look and feel as Etrian Odyssey III (EO3), one of my favourite games of all times. Howe... Read Full Review

A hidden gem that's overlooked by the superficial and unintelligent youth of today.
Remember a time when permadeath and mega-aging were prevalent in the world of Wizardy and other dungeon crawlers? Remember the absolute agony that plagued your party as you tried oh-so hard to level grind? Welcome back. ... Read Full Review

this game is basically etrian odyssey on steroids.
released for the PSP by atlus, this game is basically etrian odyssey (I and II of which i played on the DS) on steroids. the game structure is the same as etrian odyssey -- you create and control a party (or multiple ... Read Full Review

One of the Best Old School RPGs out there! Will have you picking up your psp any chance you get!
This game is so addictive. I grew up playing rpgs on pc/apple iic and on NES...this game is a throw back to that style but at the same time it incorporates fresh new elements that were not done back then. The game is a... Read Full Review

If you like 1st person dungeon crawlers and Japanese aesthetics, this is a game worth playing.
The 1st person dungeon crawler genre is greatly under appreciated, especially since it dates back to the 1980's, and it's great to see Atlus keeping them alive. Class of Heroes has a HUGE variety of characters you can... Read Full Review
