While not as remarkable as the technology that fuels it, the game itself is put together well enough to make Doom 3 legitimately great, all things considered.
The expansion doesn't stray too far from the action of the original, but the new levels, new weapons, and increased focus on action make "more of the same" a fun ...
If Doom 3 left you wanting more, you'll find what you're looking for in Resurrection of Evil.
A new two-player cooperative mode really helps round out the experience, and those amazing good looks survived the translation to the Xbox well intact--along with pretty much everything else.
