Ganbare Goemon 2: Kiteretsu Shougun McGuinness Cheats For Super Nintendo

1. Access The Hidden Forest And Amusement Park Stage

   In world 2, enter the town. Go all the way right and enter the house with the purple drapes. Buy the pass for 480 gold. Now leave the store and go right to where the guards are. With the pass they will let you go through. Go all the way up, then all the way left and smash the last barrel you see. It will open a hidden underground level which will lead you out of the town and will open up the hidden Forest level. Pass that stage and you'll reach the hidden Amusement Park stage. In that stage, you can play a bunch of minigames and see some cameos from other Konami games.

2. Access The Hidden Hell Stage

   After finishing the game, load the save file, go back to the 2nd world and enter the hidden Amusement Park stage. Once in the stage, go one screen up and enter the castle in the center. Talk to the girl and then go out. You now have to get 4 demon heads to access the hidden Hell stage where Dracula (from Castlevania) is the boss. To get them, you have to play the hard versions of the Goemon Memory Game, Devil Bazooka, Floor Sweeper and XEXEX. After finishing a minigame, press Start to see the demon head you have received. It's extremely hard to achieve, but once you get 4 of them, go back to the castle and talk to the girl. She'll send you to the Hell level.

3. Hidden sprites

   There's 5 sprites hidden in the game in the following stages. Hit the background to reveal them.
   Surprise Pass (Area 2): right up from the start. Gives 50 ryo.
   Mount Hakagure (Area 3): cave to the lower left of the starting point. Recovers 1 health bar.
   Former Site of Oedo Castle (Area 4): in the first steps formation, to the left of second step. Gives one extra health bar.
   Snowy Mountain Lift (Area 5): left side of the roof of the hut right after the start. Gives a 1-Up.
   McGuinness Castle Walls (Area 6): in the platforms after dropping down from the second castle and heading left. Gives a 3-Up.

4. Make dog appear on roof

   In Hagure Town (Area 4), press A + B + X + Y in front of the restaurant. A dog will appear on its roof.

5. Guards don't get angry

   Keep L + R + X pressed and attack a guard. The attacked guard will retaliate, but other guards in town won't turn red and chase you.

6. Speed up ski lifts (multiplayer only)

   In the level Snowy Mountain Lift (Area 5), the lifts will move if you have the Lift Ticket (sold in Omatsuri Village). If you hold A + B + X + Y on both controllers when you enter the stage, the speed of the lifts will be increased.

7. Wage Winners Check Mode (multiplayer only)

   While entering the Wage Winners mini-game, keep L + R + Select pressed on both controllers 1 and 2. You will access a menu where you can change the characters used by each player, the course (out of the available 3) and the time limit.

8. Wage Winners: increase speed

   In the Wage Winners mini-game, press Select 5 times while "Ok, let's go" is flashing. The speed of movement (as well as the clock countdown) will increase.

9. Power-up Items

   There are two optional items that you can get that power-up your subweapons.
   *Table uses the names of the fan translation.

   Unlockable
   In McGuinness Town, talk to the man in the house after the tunnel. Then go to the shop in Akafuku Village and buy it for 2480 ryo.	Glove (halves the charge time of subweapons)
   In Nipopo Village, talk to the man on the right side of the house with two doors. Then go to the shop in Omatsuri Village and buy it for 980 ryo.	Snake Skin (halves the money spent by subweapons)
