1. Random Character Select

   When on the character select screen in Story Mode, press and hold the provocation button. Doing so will activate the selection roulette, which will continue as long as you hold the button down. Note that this only works in Story Mode.

2. True Ending

   In order to fight Kain and see the true ending, you need to have a AAA rating or higher on every match.

3. Secret Taunts

   After defeating your opponent, but before your character does their win pose, hold left or right and press the provocation button. If timed correctly, your character will do a secret end-of-round taunt. Each character has two of these unique taunts; the one you get depends on which direction you press. This can only be done once per round, and only at that specific time.

4. Ringing Hotaru's Bells

   When fighting against Hotaru in the The Philanthropy Belfry, try taunting. This will cause the massive bells in the background to start ringing. If you make it to round 3 and play on the night version of the level, taunting will cause a swarm of bats to appear instead.

5. Taunting At The Club

   When you fight Rock at the Live House Old Line club, try taunting on either side of the screen and pay attention to the background. If you do it on the left, the taunt will cause one of the parked car's lights to flicker. If you do it on the right, the crowd standing on the balcony outside the club will cheer for you.

6. Khushnood Butt's Animals

   When you make it to round 2 against Khushnood Butt, go to the left side of the stage and taunt. While all of the animals in the stage will react to the taunt, the bear in the background has a unique animation. The bear will try eating food out of a bowl, only to accidentally toss the bowl up and hit itself on the head.

7. Jae Hoon And Dong Hwan's Fans

   This trick only works if you're playing a match with Jae Hoon VS Dong Hwan at the Yok Chong Market. There will be more Taekwondo practitioners than normal in the background, but will wear the same colored gis as the fighter they're fans of. Jae Hoon's fans will wear white, and Dong Hwan's fans will wear black. They will cheer if their respective fighter taunts, but the other side will stay quiet. Also, Jae Hoon's fans will cheer if you connect with either version of his Hououkyaku. Dong Hwan's fans will cheer if you connect with his hidden super move, the Oresama Hououkyaku.

8. Grant's Temple Flames

   When fighting in Grant's underground temple, stand near either of the pillars and taunt. This will cause the bowls of fire in the background to briefly flare up.

9. Kain's Windy Palace

   When fighting at Kain's Palace, go to either the left or right side of the screen and taunt. This will cause a gust of wind and some leaves to blow across the stage. It'll also make the banners, vines, and tree branches ripple, and will instantly clear any of the mist near the ground.

10. Southtown Traffic Accidents

    Hokutomaru's stage takes place in front of a traffic accident that he caused. However, you can make it even worse. In the first round, have both characters go to the left corner, have Player 1 stand further to the left, and make them dash - not walk - all the way to the right corner at the same time. If done correctly, the screen will shake. If you go back to the left corner, you'll find you've triggered a second accident, this time with a couple of taxis. In the next round, repeat the process, but from the opposite corner, and with Player 2 standing further to the right. This will trigger a third accident, this time involving Ryo Sakazaki and his motorcycle from Art of Fighting.

11. Rock's Delayed Raging Storm

    When performing the strong version of Rock's Raging Storm, keep holding down the C button. This will delay the full animation for a second, which will help you throw off opponents who rely on blocking or Just Defense tactics.

12. Hotaru's Reflector

    Hotaru's Ko-bi Kyaku move has the hidden ability to reflect projectiles. This makes her a little more viable against Kain and other characters who utilize projectiles as part of their strategies. However, there is also glitched version of this move. If you successfully do the reflection and input the fireball motion, the reflected projectile will fly through your opponent without causing damage.

15. Alternate T.O.P. Mode

    After choosing a character, you have to select how you want to use their T.O.P. Mode. Normally, this involves choosing the beginning, middle, or end of your life bar by pressing left or right. However, there is a hidden second option that allows you to further modify your selection. There is no prompt or indicator for it, but it's active as soon as T.O.P. Mode screen opens. Instead of pressing left or right, press up or down. This will change the length of the T.O.P. Meter; the shorter the meter, the bigger damage boost you'll get while T.O.P. Mode is active. Short will give you x1.75 damage, medium will give you x1.5, and long will give you x1.25. You can place these altered meters at more specific sections of your life bar as well.

    Choose a character, then press up or down on the T.O.P. Mode selection screen.	Alters the length of the T.O.P. Meter, resulting in different damage boosts and life bar placements.

17. Extra Versus Mode Handicaps

    If you get a long winning streak going in Versus Mode, the game will automatically give your opponent extra bonuses in order to give you more of a handicap. These will only stay active once per gaming session; if you exit Versus Mode, your winning streak record and your opponent's bonuses will reset.

    Get a 10 match winning streak in Versus Mode.	Opponent can charge meter via taunting.
    Get a 20 match winning streak in Versus Mode.	Opponent starts the round with a full super meter.
