Golden Axe (1989) Cheats For Genesis

  1. Get 27 lives

    Start arcade mode. When you get to the character select screen, hold down+left and hit A+C+Start. Nothing really confirms the code except until you get game over. If you input it correctly, the next time you get Game Over, it should say you have 9 credits instead of 3.

  2. Level select:

    Select arcade mode. Hold Down/Left + B and press Start at the character selection screen. A number that corresponds to the starting level will appear in the upper left corner of the screen. Use the D-pad to change it to the level you want.

  3. 9 Credits

    This code only works on the arcade mode character select screen. Hold the left and down buttons on the D-pad, press A, C, and start at the same time to get 9 credits. The game won't tell you if you've done it correctly.

Golden Axe (1989) Cheats For Arcade Games

  1. Restoring full health in any bonus stage

    This glitch only works in a two player game. After defeating a boss in a stage and entering into the bonus stage where the little elves steal your magic potions, ignore such and get as far away from them as you can. Then begin hitting your fellow character without knocking their character down all the way until their health is gone. If you got enough time your friend may also do the same to your character. Remember NOT to kill off each other's characters, just deplete your HP before the bonus segments ends. If done correctly the next stage will feature your characters at full health. This works best when both characters have at least one square of health left to make things easier.

  2. Hidden Black Skeletons

    If your character happends to stay idle for 53 seconds without advancing two black skeletons will appear right in front of you. Compared to the regular skeletons these are twice as hard, and move way faster.

Golden Axe (1989) Cheats For PC

  1. Quick kill on stage 6 boss

    Immediately as the boss in stage 6 comes out of the door, use your magic while he's still partially in the doorway. He'll fall through the doorway, the floor and out of the level, instantly dead. This may not be possible to do on a fast computer but on the oldies it works great.
