1. View Vol.2 Preview Without Beating The Game

   On the desktop, hold R1+R2 and push square, triangle, square, triangle. Release the R's, then while holding L1+L2, push right, up, right, up. Release and press R3+L3. If you do this quickly enough, the Vol.2 Preview will become viewable in the media performer.

2. Bonus Emails

   At the title screen, select the Convert menu. Selecting save data from .hack//Infection, Mutation or Outbreak will give you an email from BlackRose that was sent to Kite after Quarantine. Selecting .hack//Quarantine save data will give you the previous email, and an email from Hokuto(.hack//AI Buster) sent to Rena(.hack//Legend of the Twilight Bracelet). However, in the Japanese release the Hokuto/Rena email is gained from .hack//Fragment save data.

3. Higher starting level

   If you have a .Hack//G.U Vol.2//Reminisce clear file on your save card you can start a new game at a higher level then normal.
   It starts you at level 35 with gear to match, unfortunately only Haseo gets this bonus though.

4. Broadsword Guard-Resetting

   When using a "Hold-and-Release" type broadsword, the attack rate is normally quite slow, even if you only attack with the first hit in the 2-hit combo. However, pressing Guard after attacking on either the first or second hits in that combo will end the long recovery animation early, which allows unnaturally fast hits. Namely, doing this after the first hit allows rapid regular hits, whereas going through the full combo and then guard-resetting allows for infinite stunlock (against characters that are affected by knockback). Bear in mind this technique takes practice to get the guard timing right consistently.
